  1. Congrats, nice fish! Is that an Akita swimbait? http://cgi.ebay.com/Akita-5-in-BASS-STRIPER-MUSKY-SWIMBAIT-FISHING-LURE_W0QQitemZ220305979312QQihZ012QQcategoryZ165930QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    I want them all! http://www.***.com/descpage-SMCS.html#
  3. I'm not interested in a okuma rod. I just would like some info on the St. Croix.
  4. I'm not going to cast more then 4oz. with it, but alot of swimbait rods are overrated. I want something that casts up to 4oz. not a pool cue.
  5. Anyone use this rod? Can you cast more then 4oz. with it or is that it? How does the rod perform? Thanks! http://www.tackledirect.com/st-croix-mbc79hf-mojo-bass-casting-rod.html
  6. Maybe so, but those things catch fish.
  7. I wish you great trip and lots of fish. Hope you'll post some pics when you get back! 8-)
  8. I don't like the river2sea much but the baroque is a very well made lure. I have the floating version and it works well with a straight retrieve (swims in a s-shape), stop&go and also fishing it walk the dog below the surface. Another great bait is the FLT Garison Pencil and Gracy S. Another cool bait is the Zillva. Here's a review: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewfltzillva.html
  9. Try one of these. It's like a floating buzzbait and you can reel them real slow, fast, stop&go. Very versatile. http://cgi.ebay.com/D-Frog-TopWater-Fishing-Lure-SupjDF-Light-Green_W0QQitemZ260271254217QQihZ016QQcategoryZ108161QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247
  10. Nothing special about it but it works. No differnt then the yum wooly bug or the sweet beaver. I fish it just like beaver t-rigged. I wish there was a 5" version. Caught this one on a 3" little otter.
  11. The lure held up well, only lost both eyes. Luckily the pike didn't swallow it. It did have a couple tooth marks on it.
  12. Rod: KISTLER HELIUM II LTX He2HC66 Reel: Abu Garcia Revo Inshore The Ninja is 6" long.
  13. I recently bought this new swimbait from jackall and tried it today. I really like this bait! Didn't catch any bass but I had alot of followers. The bass ignored any other bait. Tried t-rigs, jigs, jerkbaits, cranks....... Just before going home I had a really hard bite! Ended up being a 32" pike. Can't wait for spring to use this bait!
  14. I like it too! It's the softbait version of the Gan Craft Jointed Claw.
  15. I suggest the yamamoto baby ika. Use a wacky style finesse wide gap gamakatsu hook size #4 and insert nail sinker (1/32oz- good for 5~10 ft. water) into the ika body.

  18. I have another question. Is (or will be) this reel available in a lefty version?
  19. Catt, you seem to fish worms alot and do well, but are there alot of worms swimming around in your lake?
  20. Has anyone tried this line? Opinions? http://www.***.com/descpageLINEDAIWA-DSF.html
  21. I tried the small version and this thing just would not run straight even after tuning. Here's a review: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewspflexphantom.html
  22. One word: Crap
  23. Yes, I always use a snap. Topwater season is done over here but in texas I'm sure you still can catch them with the osa. Just keep at it! I caught most of my fish this summer with the osa and buzzjet.
  24. I catch bass on peacock bass colored baits, no peacocks over here. Match the hatch? I don't pay much attention to that, I still catch fish. I have to like the bait I throw, and this way I WILL catch fish. It's all about confidence.
