For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I know I’m not the first to the party, but I don’t think it’s in full swing yet. Got this guy on my second cast. Couldn’t tempt another on all morning. was also not expecting to be the only truck in the parking lot for over an hour.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Shad were getting wild spawning on the banks on Wednesday. This one was particularly frisky.

There are some clues that give the exact spot and lake away in the video.

Good jerkbaits for 5’-7’ deep water
I like the Cabela’s Mean Eye both the original and the “Walleye Series”

Megabass vs anything
Twice I’ve cut off megabass jerkbaits, tied on a Cabela’s Mean Eye Jerkbait and caught a nice fish on the very next cast, one was over 6 and a half and the other was just under 5 and a half. I got them on clearance for $1.99 each. ?♂️

Iowa: Twelve Mile Lake & 3 Mile Lake
I wouldn’t say 12-mile or 3-mile are very bank accessible. Green valley just down the road however is quite accessible and has very nice cabins on the water if they’re not already booked. If you go to green valley I suggest fishing by the spillway and casting out as far as you can in front of it. There is some rock and concrete down there that holds good fish. Also the bank by the campground that is just north of the small boat ramp that’s by the campground holds good fish. Finally, the backs of the coves near the drain tubes hold fish there.

Storage for 1.5 Square Bills and 1/2oz lipless baits
If you cut the removable dividers to make them shorter, you can lay the bill over them and get at least 30% more baits in a Plano (Edge or original) box (and fill a lot of the air space). I have a picture somewhere.

How long will a bass keep a jig in its mouth?
Bass will undoubtedly and reactively initially “spit” many objects they initially inhale. It has nothing to do about whether it feels natural. Watch videos of bass inhaling live crawfish. They will often spit and re-inhale. While I don’t think there is a good way to test this, my (and others) hypothesis is that this has to do with the fact that often times when a bass inhales (which is probably not the right word) a bait off the bottom it comes with much debris. Spitting the bait into the water column allows much of the debris to disperse so the bass can have a cleaner meal.

Sneaking into private property
Those aren’t really fishing YouTube channels anyhow. They are just trying to be entertainers and jump on a fad to make a buck and some ego.

Anyone used Talon, Power Pole or other hydraulic anchor?
I can anchor the boat so it’s stationary and I can use the lure retriever to get the bait. A lot harder to do when the boat is being pushed around by the wind.

Anyone used Talon, Power Pole or other hydraulic anchor?
Powerpoles don’t hold as deep as you think they would. 8’ poles hold at 5-6’ depth reading max. They work great other than that. Really hasn’t changed my fishing other than has helped me save a ton of lures on windy days.

Could I tow long distance with a Toyota Tacoma?
I pull my 17’ fiberglass Ranger r70 300-400 miles with my 4 door 2005 5cyl Colorado without any issue.

Bladed Jig / jig Box - Plano Edge
I guess the answer is a different box or different baits... ? (thanks for the bump I guess). Lol

Bladed Jig / jig Box - Plano Edge
Are you going to try adding this in the Plano edge jig box?

Bladed Jig / jig Box - Plano Edge
I don’t think this will work. When the baits slide, they slide through the posts.

How to keep gopro alive?
Shouldn’t overheat. This is a common practice.

Bladed Jig / jig Box - Plano Edge
I have mine filled with Siebert 3/8 oz dock rockers. They stay pretty well. None of my chatterbait stay. Not fogy’s not jackhammers not my own custom tungsten football head. My swim jigs do not stay. Most of my football head jigs do not stay. No I don’t expect so. But often times there are some clever workarounds to expand the utility. Hence, why I am asking if others have tried things to improve this.

Bladed Jig / jig Box - Plano Edge
I like the idea of this box. However, in practice I find there is only a narrow range of jigs / bladed jigs that will stay put between the inserts. Has anyone figured out a way to keep jigs and bladed jigs that slide around put? I was thinking of wrapping a rubber band around each of the dividers to see if that would help. anyone have any ideas?

Seaguar Red Label and Line Conditoner
The only line conditioner you need for Red Label It sounds like some others have had a good experience with that line, but for me personally I have tried it several times and I’ve always found it’s best that it ends up in the same place.

Keeping feet dry at launch/load
I keep a pair of super cheap rubber boots I found at Walmart in the back of my truck at all times for this exact reason. I’ve even fished in them a half dozen or so times and they weren’t that uncomfortable.

Baby GOAT on a Lil Man
Not sure how many of you are aware, but @Siebert Outdoors has a new finesse jig called a “Lil Man” available currently in 3/16th oz. I find it pairs very nice with a ZMan Baby GOAT (which is also now in stock on Siebert’s online store). Oh and they catch fish too! First cast with one! ?
