The basspro batteries are a rebranded ReLion battery, a very reputable lithium battery company. Bass Pro’s prices are quite a bit higher than getting them from another dealer, but they seem to be in stock which means easy replacement.

Best way to get speed on that boat is to put it on the trailer and pull it with the truck. it’s not build for speed. It’s terribly economically inefficient to put money (likely thousands) into to to try to make it go faster when you will at most only gain 3-4 mph.

Sounds like a good place to do some blind casting with a weightless wacky rig.

Any SD card will work as long as you format it to FAT32. It’s a simple and quick process to do so.

There was a specific video review where they compared it to a ceramic spray and the graphene coated was much harder to clean than the ceramic spray coated. And the fact that the color of the graphene spray is artificial, in other words, they dye it black and the color is not a product of the effective chemical makeup, just turned me off. I was really excited about it prior to that. I could still be swayed. Was hoping it’d be a good option for at least the boat.

Pretty much all lakes in Iowa fish the same. Channel swings and trees close to them. Man-placed rock piles of there are any. Usually most of the lakes have very small amounts of productive water and are “spot lakes” and once you figure them out they are pretty easy to reproduce. Get on Google earth and go back in time to see if you can find anything when the water was down.

For those areas on the keel, you can get away with fiberglass bondo and then putting on a keel guard over it.

oh I know there are rods marketed as chatter bait rods with the parabolic bend. I don’t understand or agree with its utility, but if someone is set on it then more power to them. Honestly, I used an older cheap-o Berkeley rod that I don’t even know what the name was for the last 8-10 years. It was relatively stiff and it was an excellent spinnerbait / chatterbait rod. The only reason I stopped using it was because the guides fell off after catching thousands of fish. I went to the Tatula Elite because I already had the rod and I liked it matching my others haha. It may even be a bit “bendier” than I like for a chatterbait / spinnerbait rod.

I use the Ehrler 7’ 3” MHFB for spinnerbaits moving baits. It baffles my why anyone would want to use a rod with parabolic action on a bait with a jig hook.
