Zoom horny toad salt question
I am going to buy a pack of Zoom horny toad and give them a try. Looking at a few stores around here some packs say "Super Salt Plus" on them and others don't. What is the difference between these two models? Advantages or disadvantages of either? Thanks!

Cheap soft plastic trailer options?
I am looking for some "budget friendly" options for trailers for jigs and chatter baits. What do you suggest?

New spinning rod advice needed
I am thinking about buying a new spinning rod for LMB and could use a little advice. Most of my fishing is done with a 7' Lews Mach 2 combo baitcaster but I am looking for something to fish things that fall more on the finesse side of things, primarily fish shakey heads, wacky and t-rigged senkos and such. Originally I was thinking about doing a 6'6" rod thinking finesse stuff would be a bit easier on a shorter rod. Now I've got a buddy telling at least 6'9" to 7'2" for longer casts and better hook sets so some thoughts on the rod length would be great help! Not sure if I should do a medium or medium heavy. Do I need to make sure it has a fast action tip to give me better sensitivity? Probably going to put 12 or 15 lb Sufix 832 braid on it. Either size fine or would you recommend one or the other for what I would be doing with it?

Battery trolling motor for small jon boat advice needed
Getting ready to buy a 12 foot jon boat and need to get a trolling motor and battery for it and that's what my question revolves around. I am thinking I am going to get at least a 45 lb thrust model as it will be my only propulsion source and I don't want to move around like a slug. I plan on just getting a battery that hooks to the motor with wingnuts screwed on the posts. Do I want to get a motor that works off 12 volts or what? As for the battery do I just need a car battery or does it need to specifically be a marine battery and if so, why? How long a shaft do I want it to have?

Need some swim jig head recommendations
Not a lot of recommendations, any more? Also I've om going to use a 4.8 Keitech and I want this to run in the lower water column what weight head do I want to go with that will for this body of soft plastic?

Need some swim jig head recommendations
I need some recommendations for a swim jig head. I've got some 4.8 Keitech Fat swing impact paddle tails that I normally throw on a owner beast hook, some time with an underspin. I can use this in the upper or middle water column but I am looking for something to be able to fish lower that has more weight to it and will allow me to keep in better contact with the bottom. I am envisioning something that will have a fish style head on it and that has some sort of keeper to keep the soft plastic in place. I have sort of been looking at these VMC Ike approved models.

What pound test of Sufix 832 braid should I go with?
See that's the thing, I wouldn't say its my comfort zone but more that not having other experiences with difference strength I don't know what would be "best" for me in this situation. I've never had some great battle with a fish and felt like I would have lost it without that last 10 pound of strength, as it were. Because if that were the end all, be all to what line to use I should get 50 or 65 or even more. I guess a better question would be would the "benefit" of dropping down to 30 truly be a harder line for fish to see and further casts or is that just a wife's tail?

Experience with Sun Dolphin American 120 or similar?
Does anyone have (or have fished out of) the Sun Dolphin American 120 plastic jon boat? Been thinking about buying one and my concern is casting out of them. I do not think I have the time/know how/money to build a casting deck on it. My concern is trying to stand up in the boat to make accurate casts and my other concern is trying to walk a frog, pitching or something where I need to have the rod tip down towards the water and I just can't see how I could do that when my feet are 2 feet below the level they would be on a casting deck. Just wanted to see if my concerns were legit and it would be a problem I could not work around or it would not be near as bad as I think.

What pound test of Sufix 832 braid should I go with?
It's time for me to get some new line on my main rod. My main rod is a 7' Lew's Speed Combo 2 baitcaster and I fish for largemouth bass with it. Being my main rod if I have to just grab one rod out the door it's the one so with it I fish many types of lures. Could be flippin, spinner baits, jigs, crankbaits, frogs, chatterbaits or whatever. Always been a braid guy and after using Sufix 832 last year I was sold this is the line for me. I went with 40 lb test and now I am wondering if I should try the 30 lb. Maybe it is not true but I have always been told fish the lightest line you could safely get away with because it would be seen less and cast further. For my purposes and how I intend to use it should I give the 30 a try or better stick with the 40?

Opinions of trailer hooks on spinner baits
Anyone have more recommendations as to specifics trailer hooks to buy if I wanted to try them out?

Would doing this destroy this spinner bait?
Or maybe should I not cut it off? I'm wanting to use this slowly through mud stained waters. I was envisioning a large, single gold Colorado blade on this. But with this one having dual blades should I just got with a "the more the merrier" approach?

Would doing this destroy this spinner bait?
I've been wanting to mess around with a white and chartreuse 1/2 oz War Eagle spinner bait with a single gold Colorado blade. Surprisingly they don't seem to make that set up. About this closest I have seen is go with one like this and clip the smaller blade off. My question is will this negatively throw off the balance or action of this lure?

Confusion about what color lures to use in dirty water
I’m a bit confused regarding what lure color to use in dirtier water. I have always heard choose a dark color as it will create a better silhouette because the fish will see it better. However I watched a lot of KVD and other pro video tips last night and he was talking about the importance of throwing a bright colored bait like a chartreuse color or something so they could see it easier. Kind of conflicting advice, what say you?

Need spinner bait recommendation
Been thinking about buying 2 or 3 different 1/2 oz spinner baits. I know I'll want to get one that is chartreuse and white with a single gold Colorado blade. Who do you think makes the best spinner baits nowadays? 15 years ago I bought a bunch of Terminators but I see the Strike Kings and Booyahs and such and need a little direction. Who's got the spinner bait market cornered nowadays?

Opinions of trailer hooks on spinner baits
I find it EXTREMELY interesting that it is almost 50-50 on this topic. For those that use them what model/make do you like? Are they made in different sizes for different style lures or are they just one generic size?

Weighted wacky rig set up advice
Well here is the question I have then. Let's say your electronics show there are fish suspended at a certain depth and for whatever reasons you feel a wacky rig is the way to go. At what depth (and below) would you feel it makes sense to get the bait down there sooner and possibly give up a little bit of it's action?

Opinions of trailer hooks on spinner baits
Got in a discussion with a guy today that said he pretty much always uses a trailer hook when throwing a spinner bait. I said I rarely do and if I do it's only early in the year when the water is cold. Just curious where most of you guys come out on this topic?

Shaky head recommendation needed
This summer I am really trying to slow my fishing down and move away from “power fishing”. I’m thinking of throwing a ribbon tail worm on a slow retrieve with a shaky head but I have no what type/size shaky head to go with. Any specific recommendations?

Weighted wacky rig set up advice
Do you guys mostly use a wacky rig on a spinning rod or a baitcast? Another question I had about wacky rigging is the presentation. Do you normally target specific areas and jig around a bit in that area then bring it back in quickly to hit another spot or do you throw it out and slowly work it back to the boat?

Weighted wacky rig set up advice
Doesn't have to be a senko, just that style of bait wacky rigged

Weighted wacky rig set up advice
I’ve been wanting to play around with a weighted wacky rig set up on my spinning rod. Probably going to use a 5 or 6 inch Senko or similar stick bait. Anyone got a specific model/size wacky head and hook setup they would recommend for this venture?

What fluoro should I try on crankbait rod?
My main rod is a new Lew Mach 2 combo that I do most of my fishing on but I’ve got a 7’ Fiberglass Bass Pro rod/baitcasting reel that I haven’t used in years and I want to get some use out of it. I’m thinking I should make it a crankbait rod (but I would certainly entertain other ideas of what I do with it.) If I do that it sounds like most people recommend fluorocarbon for crankbait fishing be it because the link will sink or whatever. I pretty much use Sufix 832 40lb braid on my stuff and have never used fluoro. What particular brand, model and strength would you recommend for me? If it helps I would primarily be using average sized crankbaits that go anywhere from 7 to 15-20 feet deep.

Eco Pro Swing Shad - anyone try these?
Looking for a cheaper option than my 4.8 Keitechs and I came across these. Looks like Cabelas' has them. Anyone have any experience with them? Or have a better recommendation to be similar to my Keitechs?

Keitech knock off I'm thinking of?
That is 100% it! Do you (or anyone) have any experience or opinions with these?
