What is the difference between these two Diawa reels?
I am really liking what I see and read about the Diawa Fuego CT. Doing some research I also have been checking out their Tatula CT reel. What are the difference between the two reels and is the Tatula CT worth the difference in price?

What is the ideal reel ratio for...
Sounds like if I want this reel only to handle jig/flipping/frogging it need to be a 7 or 8. I am kind of leaning towards the 8. I imagine since there would not be much of a difference in the jig/flipping department it kind of comes down to the frog side of things. Recommend a 7 or 8 for that?

Anyone got a good budget baitcast reel they like?
Budget friendly obviously doesn't mean $500. Most higher end reels can run around $300 so it would not mean that either. In this scenario I would say $80 and under. Most people had no problem recommending something in that range. Yes all people's budgets are different but when higher end items are around $300 I would think it would stand to reason under $100 was sort of implied.

What is the ideal reel ratio for...
Kind of figured but wanted to ask. The first digit is pretty obvious but what do the other 2 signify?

What is the ideal reel ratio for...
And for jig fishing? Only had 1 rod and needed it to be universal?

What is the ideal reel ratio for...
A lot of you have been giving me some good advice at some budget baitcast reels and I was hoping to get some more advice regarding the ratio of the reels. I have a 7' fiberglass rod crankbait rod and a 7'6" jig (and probably going to have to double up and do frogging with it too) rod. For both rods what would you recommend for the ratio of reel of each rod and purpose and why? If it affects your recommendation I use 40 lb Sufix 832 on all my stuff primarily. TIA

Anyone got a good budget baitcast reel they like?
I've got a reel that has gone craps on me and I am going to have to replace. Current budget won't let me but something nice so I am looking for a "wallet-friendly" option to consider. Will use it on my 7' crankbait rod or my 7'6" jig rod. If it affects your recommendation I use 40 lb Sufix 832 on all my stuff primarily. TIA

Does anyone own the Rod Sox rod sleeve?
Over the last couple of years I have emailed several different fishing companies with questions about their products. SHOCKINGLY I have gotten an extremely poor amount of response back. You would think this would be a growing sport that companies would go out of their way to respond to customers. Customers that are willing trying to spend money on their product. Hasn't been the case in my experience....

Double hull plastic jon boat?
So an aluminum/metal model would be a lot lighter than a plastic on?

Question about upgrading trolling motor prop
Hmm, what about the design makes them slower in open water? So unless I am in very "weedy" waters it would be a detriment to me? I am new to the trolling market game and just saw this option as an "upgrade" and figured it would be a good idea but from what you are saying it sounds like unless I REALLY need it it would be a bad idea.

Double hull plastic jon boat?
Does this design/feature increase the weight of the boat much?

Double hull plastic jon boat?
I never really got a clear answer to this. What is the advantage/disadvantage of a double hulled boat in this situation? Is it enough of a big deal to be more patient and seek a double hulled boat out?

How to stop this from peeling???
I have this graphite Daiwa rod and noticed the protective plastic "coating" has started to peel in this particular spot. Is there something I can apply to this area to stop it?

Does anyone own the Rod Sox rod sleeve?
No store around here sells this particular product so this would be a blind purchase for me through the internet. About the black ring around the bottom of the sleeve just above where the reel sits - is it black rubber or hard plastic? Can it be rolled up if the one you buy is too long for your rod?

Question about upgrading trolling motor prop
Been doing some research on these forums about upgrading the prop on a trolling motor. I've read on here about the Ninja model and the GOAT. I've seen some Minnkota models in store too. Is the advantage just gets through grass and weeds better? Can I get a little help here?

Does this look right for a rod sleeve?
I have a 7'6" jig rod I wanted to get a rod sleeve for. I already have one for my 7'0" rod (the green rod sleeve in the picture) and it is the only experience I have with one. I went with the Rod Glove in the standard casting size and it says it is rated for up to 7'6" rods. In your experience is it "normal" for the sleeve to end so high compared to the reel level? I just wanted some other opinions because as I said the only one I have stops right about the reel. And because the one I bought said up to 7'6" I was just curious if this is correct or not?

IM6 vs IM8 rods
Been looking at a couple of different Lew's rods. Some are IM6 rods and some are IM8. Can someone explain to me the differences?

Reel on a crank bait rod

Reel on a crank bait rod
Well for me personally I would look for something I could do both with. This rod setup would probably be assigned to do all my crank bait fishing, deep diver and smaller square bills.

Reel on a crank bait rod
Why do you guys recommend such a "slow" reel? Not saying you are incorrect, just trying to understand the mindset. Thanks

Reel on a crank bait rod
Looking to get a budget friendly crank bait rod setup. From all I gather it looks like I want to go with like a 7'2" or a bit longer composite rod. But what speed/characteristics do I need for the reel itself?

What is the difference between "action" and "taper"?
