  1. As far as reel goes I have the tatula sv and the curado k and I’d take the curado all day. Love my tatula but the curado for the money seems like it’s in another league. Rods i have 1 e6x but never fished a mojo yet. Love the feel of the mojo and for the money it’s a great rod! Blanks on them are unreal. But I really love my e6x. Now I’ve felt a bunch e6x’s that I didn’t like, and I’d take a mojo over any day. I think in the end I’d say pick which feels more comfortable. Mine is a 6’6” medium fast spinning walleye rod and it’s awesome. I got it on sale for a great price, and it’s crazy sensitive and pulls in bass, pike, and walleye no problem. Not as good as most my others but I’m very pleased
  2. I’m going to have to look into the bg. I’ve been so happy with my nasci and my Stradic ci4+. I thought for sure the nasci was the way to go for the 100 dollar price range. I love my nasci so much a buddy got one as well and loves it. This bg must be a hell of a reel!! What’s the big difference in why the bg is so much better. Girlfriends brothers birthday is next week and I was going to get him the nasci for his birthday as he needs a spinning reel. But if the bg is that much better I’ll get that. Nice thing about shimano for us is there is a warranty and cleaning service within an 2 hours from us. so get the 2500 bg to be paired with a mojo bass 7’ medium fast?
  3. Thank you! Didn’t even notice that when I was handling them. That’s Kind of a pain. Thank you very much. By any chance does your experience extend to the 884 or 885? I’ve never handled one and I’m just worried the 884 isn’t enough for heavier fishing. 90% of my fishing isn’t in real thick of heavy grass/mats. Fishing Ontario we don’t get anything crazy thick usually. But the deal is only on the 884 not the 885
  4. I have one and love this rod! When I first got it I threw anything and everyone on this rod and was blown away by its strength and sensitive. It’s my all purpose spinning rod. Love it for soft plastics, small cranks and lipless, smaller spinner Baits, topwater, paddletails and grubs with light jigheads
  5. Nobody’s handled this rod or fished it? I’d love to hear how it handles or fish’s. Does the 884 heavy have enough power for weeds and smaller mats or should you just stick with the 885 extra heavy.
  6. Thank you. Only reason I am curious about them is the Zodias feels amazing. Didn’t get my hands on the 7’2” but the 7’5 heavy and extra heavy both felt amazing. Liked the balance on the heavy better. The loomis is at a price too good to pass though when the rods go for 450 dollars around here and it’s a good amount less then the Zodias
  7. Never used the daiwa spinning reels but the shimano nasci’s are awesome reels! Highly recommend them to anyone
  8. Okay thank you for the information I’m just curious as to why you don’t hear much about them, either of them really. I can see why the e6x isn’t too popular that being said I absolutely love my 6’6 medium fast walleye spinning rod paired with the ci4+. Super light and plenty sensitive but not to interested in there other models. but the imx pro feels great to me but I’ve never fished the other two like I mentioned. I looked into that but for example the imx pro from tackle trap is 325-350 (convert over to Canadian currency 420-452 which is what they go for here not to mention shipping. And the nrx for example in the 894C is 575 then Canadian currency puts me at 743.00. So it’s the same price as what I’d pay here without any hassle. But I got a source on the imx pro’s for 350 Canadian on the high side which is 200-250 cheaper then the glx and 300-350 cheaper then the nrx. At 250-350 for the imx that’s cheaper then the legend tournament bass, same price as an avid, cheaper then some of the e6x’s, some of the Zodias and way way cheaper then stuff like elites. Just seemed like a no brainer but it makes me worried that they aren’t even worth that much and that I should be looking else where instead of imx pro’s. If I were paying 450 like they should be then I’d probably look at legend elites instead or megabass rods
  9. What about the e6x and more specifically imx pro don’t you like? I’m debating on stepping up to try a glx or nrx just cause I love my imx pro. Just want to know why you feel they aren’t good or worth the money. Where I live I can get the imx pro for 370 when regular is 440, glx is 595 and nrx is 695-720. So the imx pro just seems to be amazing for 370 compared too 600-700
  10. The legend elites are suppose to be amazing rods! I’ve never fished one but have heard nothing but great things. Honestly the avid X series are fantastic. I also have a spinning and my father has a baitcaster in the avid x series. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another. The legend tournament bass was another one that’s suppose to be amazing but they feel a bit tip heavy. G. Loomis is another company I’d highly recommend. I have e6x and imx pro and have been crazy happy with both! Definately will be shopping for more loomis Rods
  11. Have a opportunity for the 884 twfr and wondering if anyone’s tried them? Looking for a frog rod. What’s your thoughts. Don’t fish real heavy cover but the main spot I fish towards the middle to end of summer it does get some pretty thick mats.
  12. InvizX makes for awesome crankbait line. The stretch is great for cranks, knot strength is unbelievable! Sunline crank is also great
  13. So past couple days I’ve taken a look around stopped by a few stores to look at frog rods. I’ve ruled out the st. Croix legend bass tournament, feels way to tip heavy. It’s between the g. Loomis imx pro 884 twfr or the Zodias 7’2 or 7’5 heavy. I love my imx pro crankbait rod now so I’m biased that way but never hear anything about loomis frog rods. The Zodias balances really nicely and feels awesome
  14. Thank you sir! I got to another store today and took a look at the Zodias. They didn’t have the 7’2 but had the 7’5 and the lbt slop-n’frog rod and I much preferred the feel of the Zodias. The lbt was extremely tip heavy!
  15. I fish a lot of soft plastics myself but throw them on either my medium spinning set up or medium/heavy casting set up. Don’t seem to have any issues at all with my medium/heavy throwing soft plastics
  16. I live in Canada so my chronarch mgl I have now on my jig rod I paid 379.99 plus taxes so like 430 dollars which is regular price. The one I’m looking at now is 250.00. That’s cheaper then the Curado k, tatula sv or a *** as those where the 3 I was looking at originally for frogging reel. Just love my chronarch currently
  17. Wonderful! Thank you. I was pretty sure they had brass gears too. I remember when I bought the reel the guy was pushing it for that reason.
  18. Thank you everyone! Just wasn’t sure cause it’s so small and compact. I currently use one on my bottom contact/jig rig and love it. I was going to go with a Curado K cause I love that on my flipping stick but when I saw the chronarch for the same price it is hard to turn away from it. Why do brass gears make that much of a difference?
  19. Looking at setting up a frog rod and I was looking into a cheaper reel when I stumbled across a near new chronarch mgl for a fraction of the price. Wondering if it would make for a good frogging reel?
  20. Hahaha that’s what I thought too at first! Well excited to see what you think!
  21. I’ve have a dobyns Sierra 734c and a daiwa zillion 7’2 medium-heavy regular action
  22. Well let us know what you think!! I keep debating on getting another worm and jig rod and it always boils down too the kistler or loomis. Both my rods are unbelievable. My helium is a few years older so I’d love to try out the helium 3 now!! I’ve fished the klx and it was awesome. My imx pro is ridiculous! It’s the 845c cbr and if a fish farts 20 yards away I’m sure I could feel it. So I’d love to try one of there jig and worm rods or there glx or nrx
  23. I’m running a helium right now and love the rod! Highly recommend looking into that. Another great rod would be a loomis imx pro or higher model.
  24. I’m in the market for a frog rod myself and just picked up a slop and frog rod lbt today at the store and what a great feeling rod! I want to handle a few before I make my decision but really liked the feel of this rod. Looking into loomis, lbt, envy, and a Zodias
  25. Shimano chronarch mgl might be a nice fit. Have one on my 7’ kistler Helium lta medium heavy
