what time is it? Watch Talk.
I wear smart watches, I have two series 3 Apple watches and a Amazfit GTS 2 mini. As much as I love the Apple watches the battery life isnt great and the reason I bought a second one so I always have one charged and ready. The Amazfit is about as good as an Apple watch but the battery life is wonderful, usually charge it twice a month.

Does anyone else find prepping their tackle box oddly satisfying and supergluing plastics to jig heads therapeutic?
Kayak fishing for me itself is therapeutic and I try to keep everything organized. Having rods ready to go is a must for me since having a stroke with a left hand partially working takes me a long time to re-tie and much, much longer if Im on the water.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Even though its dangerously hot I still put the kayak on the water for 4 hours today, only caught a 15.75" on a wacky rigged creme worm and two 10" ers.

have you EVER bought anything significant from a door to door salesperson?
We also have a sign and several cameras including one on the doorbell. My wife is stone cold no matter who it is or what they want. Last week a AT&T rep showed up, my wife opened the door pointed to the sign and asked "Can you read?" then slammed the door in her face.

It's fricking HOT!
I spent more time last week in the attic then I should have trying to deal with hvac air handler issues. A few days it had to have been 115-120* in there. After 16 yrs the system is done and we are getting all new tomorrow, our savings is crying right now! Hoping to put a few hours in on the kayak Friday.

anyone using the MicroPole on their kayaks?
The pole has a collar on the bottom with the rope attached and a cleat to hold the rope when in the up position. A collar at the top keeps the pole from coming all the way out. They also have a hand crank similar to the anchor wizard. Here is a video that shows it around the 8:00 minute mark.

Vertigo
I had it for about a month after my head injury and stroke. It was terrible if I moved my head at all I felt like I was going to pass out. I even fell into one of the physical therapist I had in the hospital. Once I started outpatient therapy one of the techs wanted to try the Epley Maneuver to see if it helped. It took three tries but it worked 100% and I havent had any issues since. His theory was the impact from the car parts falling onto my head knocked the crystals out of whack in my ears. The crazy part to me was that the neurosurgeon who did my brain surgery, a neurologist, ER Drs, nurses and in-patient physical therapists had even questioned that could be what was causing the dizzy spells and nausea. My wife gets it from time to time and it puts her down for a few days.

If you get it let me know how you like it. Im thinking about buying myself but Im also thinking of buying a Nucanoe Unlimited and adding a Xi3 and I wouldn't need it.

Catching 12-14" Bass?
@Darth-Baiter you need to look into the FREE tackle direct tournament going on until August 15.They are giving away $15k in prizes. It uses the also free Fishing Chaos app. Its all CPR catch, photo, release. Just upload 5 bass(they have other categories as well) at least 12" or larger on a measuring board with identifier in the pic. Its a great way to learn the ropes so to speak. https://www.tackledirect.com/national-fishing-tournament-2022.html

Pedal-drive kayakers; you forget paddle, do you fish?
Like Koz I only use a paddle to launch and land, however, there is a few places I go that have shallow areas where Ill lift up the propel drive and use a paddle. Knock on wood I havent forgotten a paddle in the 5 years Ive been kayak fishing, if I did I would just send it! I have had my steering/rudder cable break while on the water, not a fun day trying to paddle back with a left hand that partially works especially when the fish were biting. I have now upgraded the whole steering system on my kayak and for what Native charges for a kayak it should come that way IMHO.

Moles in yard
Years ago I was mowing the yard and my wife was tending to the small section of vegetables we had planted. Our stone cold rabbit catcher/killing blue-tick beagle Dixie was running around. I noticed my wife running toward our storage building wide open, fling open the door, grab a shovel and run back where she came from. Dixie was engaged with what I thought was probably a snake. Nothing came into our yard that Dixie didnt know about about I turned off the blades on the mower threw it into 7th gear and headed their way.I watched as my wife slammed the shovel down 8-10 times which reminded me of the old school WWF wrestling matches when a chair was used. When I got to her I found out it was a mole that Dixie had caught. I asked my wife why she hit it so many times and she replied she wanted to make sure it was dead and didnt suffer! At the time my wife used to watch tons of crime/murder mystery shows so I have no doubts whats she capable of if I mess up! Shes red-headed too!

anyone using the MicroPole on their kayaks?
No problem, there is so many kayak accessory companies popping up its hard to keep up with them all. I bought the sidetrack paddle holder from them, they make nice stuff thats fairly priced and are fairly local to me TN. Another great guy to deal with is 3dyak, hes on FB only though.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Managed a few hours on the kayak this morning before the heat really set in. I only managed a 15"er but its score able for the two tourneys Im in. I missed it on an OG Chatterbait in white and chartreuse with a Tennessee Shad colored Havoc Grass Pig Jr trailer. I immediately swapped rods and followed up with a 5" wacky rigged Yum Dinger in Morning Dawn. He hit it after I twitched the rod a few times after the fall, he was in about 3.5' of water.

Measuring board storage
I use a mount from sniper air industries thats made specifically for my Ketch Karbonate. The Ketch board is nice and well worth the money IMHO.
