  1. Yes. Just give him my 12 footer, with the outboard taken off, the foot controlled TM off, and everything out, and give him the oars. Oh wait, he'd still go in circles. So in that case. No. Have you ever gotten skunked (as in sprayed, not a day without fish)
  2. Yes. (as if you actually have to ask that question....) Ya ever dreamed you were fishing with your girlfriend? (actually fishing. Get your mind out of the gutter. ;D)
  3. Mine comes off too. Just takes a 1/2 inch socket, and wrench. ;D
  4. No prob. Ya gotta love fixes on the cheap/easy, that flat out WORK.
  5. Nope, never been the first person but once been the second person. I can't usually catch fish, but when I go to a heavily stocked farm pond, on a scout camp, where everybody throws nightcrawlers, and doesn't catch nothing, and I have a bag of senkos..... I suddenly become a bass fishing magician. Do you suffer from MBS (multiple boat syndrome)?
  6. No. Since I can't catch anything, it is exciting for my back seater to. Ever snagged the spinning trolling motor prop?
  7. Yes. Ever gotten a bite, where the bass exposes a hook on your texas rig, but then gets free, so the hook grabs a whole bunch of dead lily pads, and you "fight" them all the way in, with a growing crowd around you on the bank? (Gawsh that is humbling)
  8. I love that movie. But then again, I am also the only person I know who has seen Smokey and The Bandit, more than 30 times, AND IT IS STILL MY FAVORITE MOVIE!
  9. No, done it to my trolling motor though. Have you ever cast over a tree, and then had a fish bite, so when you reel him in, he goes up into the tree, AND BREAKS OFF, HANGING THERE?
  10. You lost me here. :-/ :-?
  11. See if you can find a used Eagle fishmark 320, or 480. I got a used 320 on the flea market section here, for 80 bucks, and I got a 480, with a RAM mount for 135 shipped recently. By far, dollar for dollar, they are the best fishfinder you can find, in that range.
  12. I'd rather be in front of a reliable 10, than a questionable 30. But with reliability comes possible lack of speed.....
  13. Alright, do I get bonus points for being the first person to catch on (or at least acknowledge catching on), or do I lose all points for being the first dumb@** to point that out?
  14. Dude, ALL vacuums suck. That is one of the key selling points. (surprised no one ran with that one yet)
  15. My guess is that the three visible sides are steep, and the fourth is a gentle slope, leading over to another mountain - with a road.
  16. I used to have one of those.... 'Cept, it was a dump truck.... The factory battery didn't go long, so dad put a larger electric wheel chair battery in it.... I later learned that it couldn't hold as much crushed rock as dads 3/4 ton pickup. Course, that was after the bed fell off, and the axle got bent. (Hey, I was four, and lived on a construction site - dad drove the machines, and I wanted to as well - still do. )
  17. Yes. You need one of these. PICTURES SNATCHED FROM ANOTHER FORUM. It is just one of those plastic file trays you can get at office supply stores.
  18. Ya'll have a MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a Happy New Year. Though we often don't show it, we really appreciate what ya'll do for us.
  19. ;DThat is wrong on so many levels, but funny nonetheless. ;D
  20. Animal House is always a favorite. Super Troopers was funny. Pink Panther was good. I don't know if this was supposed to be a comedy or not - Smokey and The Bandit. That is my absolute FAVORITE movie. The Duke's of Hazard - the original series - not the new movie. Larry the Cable Guy - Health Inspector Delta Farce I don't watch many movies at all, so the list of my favorites, is more than half of the list of total comedies I have watched. But, I do love anything with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry The Cable Guy Ron White Bill Engvall Achmed the dead terrorist. ;D
  21. Pardon my ignorance, but what is this "away" feature. What is it supposed to do?
  22. The thru-hub, and old style props really shouldn't have much difference. The old style has the cone to smooth the water flow, and the thru-hub uses the exhaust to achieve the same purpose. The "newer style" props aren't going to have a different diameter, than the "old style." Props are made in many diameters. Your engine is designed for one diameter. Assuming it has the right diameter, there isn't anything you can do diameter wise. But, pitch is a totally different thing. Do you have a tach? If not, I would look into the TINYTACH. If you are getting the top RPM, with differing loads, you are under pitched. That means the prop doesn't have enough pitch to use all the engines power. The best analogy I can think of, is in a manual shift vehicle. In first gear, when getting the max RPMs, you really aren't moving all that fast, and the engine is in no way near its max power. But, in 5th, you are moving at a high speed, and you are using more of the engines total power. But, you can't see if you have the right pitch prop, without a tach, so that needs to be your first line of business.
  23. You should ALWAYS change the O-rings, when you change the lube. Otherwise, it is outboard abuse.
  24. The weight to capacity rating on PVC is unfavorable. In essence, it sounds like you are going to be building a moving dock. Foam is often used to hold docks up. Most places that sell trailers will give you foam blocks for free. Often, they measure about 15 inches, by 15 inches, by about 2 feet. We use them for putting boats on, when working on trailers, or as shop work seats. (very light, and easy to kick around, but not hard on my bony butt) Northern tool, and tractor supply company are where we get ours. If you built it well enough, you could put a small outboard on it, but be sure to test it, before putting the outboard on it, as submersing the head of an outboard is NOT good for it. In fact, it is downright bad for it.
  25. My absolute favorite is "Smokey and The Bandit." Before the cable B******* took CMT off of basic cable, I would watch it about 2 times a month. "Animal House" is a great one. Funnier than heck. Not that I was old enough to see it, but my parents were sick of quoting it, and my sister and I not knowing what they were talking about, so they broke down and showed it to us 2 summers ago. Plus, I have always been a little ahead of the loop in responsibility, and maturity, (others have said it - not me) so that was a factor too. "Delta Farce," and "Health Inspector" were hilarious too. We really don't watch that many movies at my house. Just comes down to a lack of free time. Plus, even when we do, we wait until it comes to VHS, or DVD. I can count the number of times I have been to a theater on one hand.
