You will also loose sensitivity with a clip attached to your shaky head. Tie directly to the shaky head jig always.

I would be extremely irate if my rod showed up in a box like that. Your rod is fine but yeah don’t order a rod unless they provide a tube.

I have a couple of chronarch mgls although not a significant difference in casting from the 70 and the k their is a difference with the mgl spool just seems like a it takes less enertia to fling a bait also I would not use them in salt or brackish water.

Ditch the ugly sticks for bass fishing unless you’re cranking there is no sensitivity if you’re fishing a bottom bait like a worm or jig.

I use 20$ renegades I probably worry more of the reflection blasting in my face than I do my eyes I always wear face protection uv buff or sunscreen. I guess I should probably worry about my eyes more ? Lol
