  1. You can use 20 braid on all the Daiwa LTs without any problems the only problem might be the rod being a medium heavy spinning rod may or may not depending on the specific rod can be tip heavy for those light weight reels I would probably consider a 2000 size Daiwa BG for a medium heavy rod for a perfect match and balance.
  2. Removing the split ring may or may not actually create better action of a Crankbait I’ve thought about removing them ? indolence on my part. Some crankbaits like the speed trap don’t have split rings and it’s a direct tie. Pop-r a loop knot is always optimal because most of them don’t have split rings and if that’s the case I never use a snap on a pop-r unless that specific type of popr comes with one. I might start to experiment with this more to see if it really matters or impedes the action of a crank bait. For now I’ll probably continue to use snaps on my jerkbaits and crankbaits since I don’t see a difference in my observation of them in the water not even on my jerk baits they still seem to have the balance I believe to be optimal.
  3. Average to below average rain in southern California with above average temps, new update from this youtuber I watch Texas still gonna get hammered with rain and it’s gonna be cold for you guys out east. Looks like we might be seeing a weak El Niño this year.
  4. I ? think it’s 20% off starts Friday ends Monday.
  5. why would you cut off the split ring when you could easily remove it and use it for some other purpose later?
  6. I just did some digging and they are IM8. I’m almost certain it will outperform the white bird no doubt.
  7. Do you know by any chance what type of graphite is used in the carbon fire? Im7?
  8. That being said You might want to invest in something that will last a very long time I think the k will not disappoint you. 7 speed should be good for all purpose.
  9. The okuma TCS is a real nice rod but the zodias definetly excels above it.
  10. I do like the name of the reel MegaJaws! It’s pretty clever and agreeable.
  11. What is your budget?!!! What do you plan on using it for? out of the three reels you mentioned the k is the best reel by far!
  12. I’m not sure what size I use because I buy them at my local tackle shop and size them by eye, but I think I use size 2 P line cross locks.
  13. So then I guess the biggest bass comes out of California this year so far.
  14. I presume you’re talking about the college bassmaster classic.
  15. Ive always been fond of the smokes but have personally never used them.
  16. I am big on square bills and mid divers love fishing a Crankbait always have a cranking rod at hand and I personally have always used a snap connected to the split ring I’ve never had a problem just make sure your using the right size duo snap and your good to go. ?
  17. I have a zodias it’s the absolute most sensitive rod that I own. Pretty hard to beat when it comes to bottom contact lures. It doesn’t get anymore sensitive than that for 200 bucks if you ask me.
  18. Currado k is a beast!!!
  19. The year isn’t over yet but does anyone know how heavy the biggest bass of 2018 was and where it came from ? So far all I can find is 15.48 in Texas and 15.46 in California?
  20. Mojos are sweet rods, nice blanks scIII, and a great warranty I’ve had a few and they have never failed me. If you’re looking for an multiple application rod go with the 7 mhmf spinnerbait rod you can literally get away with doing almost everything.
  21. Pics if you don’t mind? I’ve only seen glimpses of this reel on YouTube looks cool. 5.4 perfect for cranking. thanks for the review by the way.
