Daiwa Tatula LT Spinning Reel
Definitely. They are awesome reels but you do need some backing for braid. The Fuego LT, Tatula LT, and Ballistic LT are by far some of the best spinning reels on the market. Daiwa did a great job with them.

Bite-off, break-off, or what?
If it were my guess, it looks more like a fray than a clean cut. A snapping turtle would bite super clean through. It looks like you it was impacted by something then frayed off somewhere. If I were to guess I would say a jagged rock edge but curious to others thoughts as well.

Monofilament line
Originally, knot strength was an issue with all fluoro but manufacturers have addressed the issues. Most peoples knot failure occurs due to the individual not knowing how to tie the proper knot, not synching and wetting the knot properly causing it to lead to failure, or buying fluoro that is coming out of China as knock offs. My buddy works for a fishing line company and tells me how good the knock offs are in terms of resembling other manufacturers line. Once I changed my knot to a Double Pitzen, never another problem. However, knot failures and other issues can still occur. But they do with every type of line. For example, braid isn't very abrasion resistant, but people buy it like crazy. Ultimately, we need to understand the limitations of each type of line. Overall, fluorocarbon provides many benefits to monofilament line such as it's virtually invizable, has a faster sink rate, has lower stretch than mono, and more sensitive. However, you are correct that mono does have cost advantage by a good bit over mono due to the cost to extrude, it is more versatile, less finicky regarding knots. Every product has advantages and disadvantages, you just have to weigh what characteristics you like and make an educated decision on which you prefer. I have used Tatsu, Invizx, Abrazx, Sniper, Shooter, Reaction FC, Gamma Edge, Super FC, and Red Label and have never had issues with knots over the past 3-4 years.

Definitely. I was looking at a new UFC t-shirt. I wish they had a TJ Dillashaw t shirt that said snake in the grass haha. Guess I will go with a Romero tshirt. When I first saw it, I was laughing so hard.

Received New Rod Packaged in just a lightweight triangle box
Definitely! I have seen companies use cardboard tubes, PVC, and cardboard boxes. I have also seen each of them fail atleast once. Ultimately, just hope the carriers employees take care of the package.

Received New Rod Packaged in just a lightweight triangle box
Almost all ship in cardboard boxes or tubes which are not the best but they are more affordable and readily available. A lot of the times the carrier doesn't take appropriate care for the package but packaging it properly does help. I don't think it would be worth the hassle nor shipping cost for shipping it back if there are no obvious signs of damage.

Monofilament line
The key to fluoro is knowing how to tie the knots and buying a quality line (preferably Seaguar, Sunline, or Gamma). Select a line that complements what you intend to use it for as not all fluoro is equal. For example, Sunline Sniper and Sunline Shooter are completely different beasts. As, Seaguar Invizx and Abrazx are different lines designed for different applications thus have different characteristics. If you tie a double Pitzen knot, Snell knot, Double Improved Clinch knot, San Diego Jam knot, etc you should never have an issue. I have used a Snell knot and Pitzen knot exclusively for 3-4 years and NEVER had any trouble. Personally I agree that the benefits of flouro far outweigh the negatives. Mono has it's place in my arsenal but fluoro reigns supreme.

Most Sensitive rod for 150-200$
That is a tough call. IMO the Zodias and Avid X would be my choice as I wouldn't buy BPS rods or reels. However, if your discount is sizable it would be tough to not go that route. I would base my decision on what rod series has a rod that matches the length, taper, and features you prefer.

Abu Garcia Fantasista Regista Rods
They look to deal in mostly discount gear that is old or discontinued. I am skeptical about buying from certain sellers plus there name isn't very reassuring haha. They seem to have a Paypal option which I would highly recommend using.

What other hobbies/passions
I've followed the story between Cody/TJ and how TJ left team Alpha Male and I tend to believe Faber and Cody's story over TJs. That is the main reason I would prefer Cody to win over TJ. A bunch of my buddies want TJ to win the fight as well. It should be a great fight! The GGG and Canelo fight is in about a month. I can't wait for the rematch.

Abu Garcia Fantasista Regista Rods
It was Abu Garcia's top of the line rod for awhile but discontinued. If it's legit it would be a good purchase. However, I have never purchased anything nor heard anything about Sierra Trading Post. Be careful buying from them. Make sure everything is legit. That price is very sketchy ($149.99-$199.99 shipped for a $500 rod). If it was me, I would not buy from them.

Can definitely tell that he's going to love fishing as he puts fishing first even for others haha. ? Meet my new fishing partner. He'll be on the water very soon!

Haha. Definitely. Mighty Mouse is a beast. His winning streak is crazy. But it should be a good fight. My favorite fight at LHW (205) was Rumble, but he retired.... I wish he would have fought Jon Jones.

Best Length For Heavy Jig / Big Worm Rod
Definitely! I think a good starting point for football jigs and pitching jigs would be a Dobyns Champion XP 735. However, everything is determined by the type of cover.

I have been really watching it since UFC 100. I watch mainly Bellator, Bellator, Glory Kickboxing, etc. You plan on watching the fights this weekend at UFC 227? I hope Cody Garbrandt ko's TJ Dillashaw. Should be a good card. It would have been even better if the Gustaffson fight didn't fall through.
-
Best Length For Heavy Jig / Big Worm Rod
It all depends of what you are comfortable as well as what applications you plan to use the rod for as longer rods are more effective in certain techniques. Are you flipping or pitching jigs around cover? Throwing football jigs in deep water? Giving a little more information about application or use of the rod will give others better advise for recommending rods.

What other hobbies/passions
Definitely jealous. I would empty my pockets to have seen Ali, Tyson, Klitschko, Robinson, Marciano, Leonard, etc. I have been to a bunch of UFC PPV events in Las Vegas as well as other cities like Atlanta, Houston, and Charlotte. I prefer UFC to boxing but the biggest boxing fight I have been to was the Luis Ortiz vs Deontay Wilder and the Canelo vs GGG fight.

What other hobbies/passions
Same for me. My biggest hobbies are fishing, hunting, camping, and I am an avid UFC and boxing fan. I go to a lot of the boxing and UFC events. Outside of those, I'm a pretty boring guy. Any other boxing and/or MMA fans?

Am I asking for trouble?
20 lb braid shouldn't be a problem at all. When I use braid I actually prefer 20 lb braid over 10 lb braid for most spinning applications. That's typically what I use, as I find theres only a few situations to go to 10 lb braid. 20 lb braid has a line diameter of .009, which is equivalent to 6 lb fluoro or mono. Ultimately, one of the most important factors is to select the line diameter based on the spool capacity of the reel you plan to use. Ultimately, there are definitely benefits of using 10 lb, as there are benefits of using 20 lb.

What was it?
I actually have a piece of property with a pond that had 4-5 beavers in them. We owned the property for years and rarely ever saw them. Maybe 10-15 times and we have owned the property for 5+ years. Occasionally you would just see them cruising but rarely did you see more than 1.

Do i have an unorthodox opinion on Killing fish (in general for all purposes)
I think this sum up how most people feel. As long as they aren't keeping more than the limit and aren't killing trophy fish, it has my stamp of approval.
