  1. Another option along the same line: Several years ago we had a BassResource Roadtrip to Pickwick during a flood. https://www.wideopencountry.com/nashville-floods-grand-ole-opry/ When the rain stopped the lake had risen 9' overnight, water was flowing over the flood gates and the Tennessee River was closed. There was a strong current ON THE LAKE! Low expectations...but we were wrong... I had my best day EVER! 78 bass for me, over 50 by my partner. The Red Eye Shad had just been introduced and my buddy caught all his fish on these. I caught ALL my fish, both largemouth and smallmouth, on a Sworming Hornet. LFT Live Magic Shad
  2. #30 Smackdown with a #15 Gold Label leader.
  3. The Gitzit was invented in Arkansas and originally designed as a "do nothing" lure. Cast out, set your rod down, light a smoke and pop a top.
  4. Too small and the paddle should point up. Otherwise, crappie and bream probably don't care.
  5. Welcome aboard!
  6. My pontoon is slow out of the hole and tops out around 20 mph. I never pop it and rarely go that fast.
  7. Heavy rain (2"-3"), ice (1/2"), snow (4"-6") and temperatures dropping into the teens. The front is several hours away. It's 58* right now. February sucks!
  8. Not a good option from shore. They tend to get hung up occasionally. Easy to recover from a boat, gonner from shore.
  9. Me loves some monster smallmouth. Can you post a pic!
  10. I have been looking around and plan to move near Ray Roberts this summer. https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/ray-roberts-lake
  11. #6 InvizX or Tatsu is not too stiff.

  13. Well, we have a great relationship with Okuma. Not every company works for everyone I guess. If you ever decide to give them another shot, contact me personally with ANY issue. -Kent
  14. Well, I started with my dad, grand dad and brother from the beginning mostly at Grand Lake in OK. My first roadtrip with the family was to Tablerock Lake in 1958, a year before it was officially opened. Pretty spotty until I was introduced to the Senko in 1996. A couple of years later my daughter joined a riding stable with a 25-30 acre pond. I received permission to fish and asked the owner if it had ever been stocked. He had owned the property for 20 years, but as far as he knew, the water had NEVER been fished.
  15. The playoffs have been the best ever, but all my favorites lost! Super Bowl 56 will be more relaxing for me with no dog in the hunt.
  16. VERY narrow minded, All four are BIG producers for me. In the spring, the A-Rig is THE BOMB!
  17. Nice bass, great pic!
