  3. One is a Shimano, the other isn't. 8-)
  4. Panther Martin, gold blade, black with chartreuse dots; Floating Rapala, Countdown and X-rap. 8-)
  5. Happy New Year! 8-)
  6. I have a nearly complete collection of Rogues. I have every one of the three in ten that work. I doubt I will ever fish them again. They are too light in general, foul consistently, break easily and lose buoyancy over time. Otherwise, great lures.
  7. The X-Rap is very effective when the bass are active. The Pointer is more consistant. 8-)
  8. The X-Rap is very effective when the bass are active. The Pointer is more consistant.
  9. Wow... This thread has certainly taken a turn for the worst. Goodnight Irene. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  10. After only eight posts... California for sure. Except for Georgia no other state has a certified 20 lb on record.
  11. I don't have the EVO2, but the Evolution jigs and jig heads I have don't hang anymore than other jigs I fish. I find them to be topnotch and I highly recommend them. 8-)
  12. Not "common", but there are days like that. From what I gather, 3-4 lbs is the norm, but you can expect an occasional 5+ and maybe a monster! HPBB's 7-2 is exceptional. 8-)
  13. Kinda like the Chevy, Ford, Dodge and Toyotas that NASCAR races!
  14. "it must be a good reel" Not necessarily. He gets his reels for free and are replaced as needed. The reel is a Quantum Energy E40 PT.
  15. Nice fish, great pic! 8-)
  16. Chill... BassResource.com strongly supports Catch & Release, especially with regard to big bass. However, we recognized the importance of professional resource management and harvest. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator

  20. Woo-hoo! Nice pic! 8-)
  21. 1. You set your drag every outing before you fish, I never make adjustments. 2. Bearings: Quality not quantity 3. Specs are just guidelines, you can spool anything you like. 4. You will probably "upgrade", but at the pricing point you will never have to. 8-)
  22. This will help, but there is more! http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/bass-fishing-articles.html#lures Read through "Fishing Article and "Tacklebox" at the top of the page. The BassResource.com Library is extensive. 8-)
  23. Strong, smooth silent and reliant. Citica 201 E... Nothin' to talk about unless you want to spend more: http://www.***.com/descpageRLCSHIMANO-SCRE.html 8-)
  24. I think TW carries Bobby's 3/8 oz Evolution Jig. Otherwise, I fish 1/2 oz GMAN jigs and Micro Munch Tackle jigs. 8-)
  25. Richard, Please read my post responding to your introduction. Also, scan the Forum for posting in the various sections. This post would belong in "Tackle". However, you need to spend a little time in the Library before posting. This thread is closed. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
