  1. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  2. I fish 1/2 oz GMAN's jigs, 1/2 oz Micro Munch Tackle and 3/8 oz Evolution. All three have high quality, stand-up hooks, full, lively skirts and vibrant color. These jigs have all produced very well for me and I highly recommend them. 8-)
  3. Good morning! And Happy Halloween... 8-)
  4. I don't store all my gear in a tacklebox, but my "traveling bag" is the 3600. Frankly, it's as heavy as I want to tote from the truck to the boat! 8-)
  5. Congratulations! 8-)
  6. Touche' "Favorite lures" are almost always the best producers. It might have something to do with time invested in any lure class. I don't care much for spinnerbaits, but they are Glenn's confidence lures. I know lots of guys that don't fish jigs...go figure. I think Muddy summed it up, "it's the guy, not the lure". 8-)
  7. Schnucks Grocery Store has a program that maxes out at $.85/ 25 gallons. Just filled the daughters car up for $15...$1.24 per gallon! 8-)

  9. Panther Martin, gold blade, black with chartreuse spots. 8-)
  10. St. Croix Avid AVS66MLF/ Stella 100FA is what I have. This rig is well-balanced and fits the niche perfectly. I use the rod for white bass, crappie and stocker trout. Originally it was my first "smallmouth rod", but the guy that recommended it obviously had never caught a good fish! 8-)
  11. You might want to consider a Silver Buddy as an alternative. 8-)
  12. My STX has replaced a CTE200GT on a G.Loomis MBR844C. I am using this rod & reel as my dedicated jig rig. It's working out fine with minor tweaks, but no major adjustments. I plan to fish this through the winter and decide whether or not to keep the reel next spring. 8-)
  13. $1 = 98.48 yen So, a yen is just a little more than a penny. http://coinmill.com/JPY_USD.html#JPY=100

  15. Here's the "brake" thread, so let's not rehash it here: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1222553329 Most people like their Revo regardless of the series. You will probably like it, too. If you skim back through 20 pages or so in this section, you will find high praise for a number of brands. Most of us have a favorite and a bias. 8-)
  16. Whoa! Let's solve the problem first... Resend the glasses with a polite, business letter explaining the problem. Address the letter to the Marketing Director or whomever you are instructed to at the company. Follow-up in a week and remain calm. If they are not going to fix or replace the glasses, ask for the President or send him an e-mail summarizing what has taken place and attach a copy of your inital business letter. The chances of this getting resolved are very high. However, as you have already discovered, getting mad, personal or threatening is a dead-end approach. That might make you feel better, but it isn't going to get your glasses replaced. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior
  17. Spend some time in the BassResource.com Library, "Fishing Articles" at the top of the page. This is in the "Tacklebox" along with several other topics you will find interesting: https://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/bass_fishing.html 8-)
  18. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  19. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  20. Finesse: Spinning tackle Powerfishing: Baitcasting gear I like them equally, but have a strong preference for one over the other for specific techniques. 8-)
  21. Nice fish! 8-)
  22. The national averagte is $2.55 http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7012860498
  23. The lowest posted price in the Memphis area is a BP station in Collierville, $1.95. I paid that last weekend, but was subsidized by a grocery store discount program (Schnucks). Otherwise, our posted prices generally range from $1.99-$2.33. Regarding, "would it have happened if..." It's like posting your score in golf: The question isn't "how", just "how many". p.s. Oil is currently $63.90 8-)
