  1. The National Weather Service is predicting another foot for you guys Sunday night! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,316807,00.html
  2. DITTO THAT. TWO NEW ONES CRAPPED OUT ON ME ON MY FIRST OUTING WITH THEM. (Pflueger Purist is a Piece of crap) brent Oh-oh! Muddy started this thread. 8-)
  3. How do they come up with this stuff? These numbers have no meaning, they are impossible to comprehend. As a rough calculation, there have been 733,422 DAYs from Year 0 to now.
  4. The current spread is 23 1/2 pts. If this holds up, it will be the LARGEST spread in the history of sports betting (NFL).
  5. Welcome aboard!
  6. Well, does that mean avid is out? Aren't you guys "twins from different mothers"? :
  7. This is from the Nova Series, The Beginning and End of Time: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/origins/univ-flash.html
  8. Well, duh? However there is one exception. A fellow I used to hunt with (a lot) always bought Natural Light because NO ONE else would drink it! And believe me, NO ONE else would.
  9. Have you been to Boscos in Memphis? That place has some high quality beers brewed on site, really good food too. http://www.boscosbeer.com/memphis/story/index.htm I'm in Germantown on the east side of Memphis. We had the original Boscos (I think) and it was great! The restaurant/ bar was always hopping, but they must have gotten in a lease dispute. At any rate, they closed and I have not been to their club in Memphis.
  10. Here are some ideas members shared on another thread: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1143177139
  11. I use MegaStrike which is the consistancy of vasoline and VERY user friendly. This product is great for soft plastics and hard baits. I think it really helped with hook-ups when fishing Mattlures Baby Bass.
  12. You da MAN! If this "innovation" is anything like the improvements you made on the traditional buzzbait, I know it will be another nice surprize. BTW, For those that have not given the Cavitron a workout, you are missing the boat! I had tremendous success with the 3/8 oz Cavitron Buzzbait (black on black) last summer. You will, too!
  13. Take a look at "Fishing Articles" at the very top of the page. The BassResource.com library has an extensive collection of articles addressing "Seasonal Fishing" as well as "Tips and Tactics".
  14. bud...bud...Bud...Budweiser... I also like St. Pauli Girl Dark and Heineken Dark if you can find them "fresh". Unfortunately a lot of imports tend to get skunky due to shipping delays. Do you have a favorite regional, full-bodied dark beer?
  15. Just like this: http://www.tasteofcuba.com/mojito.html Otherwise in the summer (Bombay) gin & tonic; in the winter Scotch. Wine year around. And of course beer, but in the South, as John Daly has stated on several occasions, "beer doesn't count". :
  16. So, the Yankees "buy" one player for what some teams (Marlins, Devil Rays) spend for their ENTIRE roster: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/7560086 http://asp.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/salaries/totalpayroll.aspx?year=2007
  17. The full report is scheduled for release at 2:00 PM EST today. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,316645,00.html
  18. Ooh...I smell something that doesn't remind me of rose petals... The "2nd largest" smallmouth EVER caught held the title of The World Record for many years while David Hayes' fish was disputed. The WR is 11 lb 15 oz, the next largest is 10 lbs 14 oz. Both fish were caught at Dale Hollow.
  19. Nice fish. You make everyone jealous! 8-)

That's not the word I would have used to describe him... Dirtball? (I have the same regard for one of my childhood heros, Pete Rose.)
  21. Those are some fine bass!
  22. avid, Here you go: From: Show -Special [mailto:special@FOXNEWS.COM] On the same day Al Gore received his share of the Nobel Prize for his work on climate change — one of his main arguments is being challenged by a scientific fact. Gore has said that the northern polar ice cap could be completely gone in as little as seven years. But Brazil's MetSul Weather Center reports the ice and snow cover in the Arctic have recovered to within one percent of normal — even though the official start of winter is still more than a week away. And it says the southern polar ice cap actually has an additional 772,000 square miles of ice now — compared to a year ago.
  23. Well, Birmingham was voted by Bassmaster subscribers as "The Bass Capital Of The World!". Last year's Classic was held at Lay Lake. NOT coincidently, BassResource.com chose Guntersville for this year's outing. Alabama ROCKS! Hope to see ya'll in March!
  24. ;D ;D ;D That's a BEAUTY! ;D ;D ;D Congratulations on your PB! 8-)
