  1. I expect a VERY high scoring game, but either team can win. I will be surprised if this game is lopsided.
  2. Welcome aboard!

This is a VERY similar presentation, but has the advantage of being rigged weedless: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1180909581
  4. ;D ;D ;D WOO-HOO! ;D ;D ;D Wish you had gotten an invite, I'm sure some of those guys will be sporting a Mattlure or two!
  5. Well, I was trying to address artificial presentations, but "The Best" bait for smallmouth is a big, fat shiner on a split shot rig!
  6. Fall is the time to fish minnow profiles: Jerkbaits, crankbaits, lipless cranks, swimbaits and blades. However, during midday, jigs and soft plastics are still productive!
  7. I HIGHLY recommend the Cavitron Buzzbait. Fish it on or near cover and structure.
  8. Minnow profiles: Jerkbaits, standard crankbaits, lipless cranks, swimbaits and blades.
  9. This is DEFINITELY jerbait season!
  10. ;D ;D ;D Thanks George! ;D ;D ;D
  11. Well Muddy, After a long hiatus, coming back to baseball was a disappointment. Not the Rockies losing, the Sox rock and Denver had a good run. It's the game, the way the sport is set up and run at the professional level: Maybe "Money Can't Buy Me Love," but it buys everything else! Once in a blue moon a team from the "flyover states" may win a series, but otherwise it's Buy a Championship. I'm glad it's football season.
  12. Nice post! 8-)
  13. Although this lure can be presented successfully in a variety of ways, the Senko Swimbait is designed to be fished with a weight: http://www.insideline.net/articles/swim_senko.html
  14. Oops! I deleted my post. It's still secret. :-[
  15. Similar to XPoint: http://www.xpointhooks.com/index.html
  16. +1 Well, George... Now you know what you have doing wrong all these years! 8-)
  17. Medium Power rods are capable of fighting any bass, but makes catching smaller fish more fun. For lures under 1/2 oz, casting is easier, too.
  18. Nice fish. I'll bet the split shot rig is going to be the "presentation of choice" for a lot of BassResource.com memebers this fall! 8-)
  19. Totally out of charcter for this line. I suspect you spooled it backwards, but if you simply "troll it out" that will eliminate all twist. The easiest way is in a boat, but it can be done by dragging the line through the grass. Initially let all but the last few yards out and troll for a minute or two. Reel in about thalf the line and continue trolling for another couple of minutes. Finally, reel up so that you have just have the last twenty or thirty yards out and troll for another minute or so. Regardless of how the line was spooled, this will "fix it."
  20. This thread will help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1189609782
  21. Congratulations to the World Champion Boston Red Sox! Job well done.
  22. That's a beauty!
  23. Congratulations!
