  1. Well sir, YOU are certainly in the same club.
  2. Well, more is better! However, I don't throw anything that light for bass. My Medium Light is just for trout and crappie.
  3. You don't need another rod, Medium Power/ Fast Action is fine.
  4. Well, actually the baby diaper yellow is not particularly effective on Tennessee River reservoirs. The clear waters in Missouri vs our stained water may make a difference. At Guntersville, Pickwick and Kentucky Lake the BPS Tender Tube #71 is the ticket. I think Missouri clear waters also make jerkbaits more appealing there than here. Although I fish these lures on Tennessee River lakes, square bills, Bandits and RES are more productive.
  5. Baits/ lures are not as important as location. There are big bass in Table Rock, Bull Shoals and LOZ. I am particularly fond of Bull Shoals in mid spring, late May into early June. My best trips are targeting smallmouth with jerkbaits and Gitzit (baby diaper yellow).

  7. I think all the respondents knew you meant ounces.
  8. C'mon... The Tennessee is full of all kinds of fish and they all eat minnows. Still, I don't get bit on every cast.
  9. The Western part of Country & Western
  10. There are probably thousands per mile in the creek and I suspect you only trap a few dozen at a time. For perspective, striper eat their weight in shad every week. So, if you have 10,000 fish with an average weight of 10 lbs, that's 100,000 lbs per week, 52 weeks a year. If my example represents just Pickwick, losing 5.2 million pounds of bait fish has virtually no impact on the ecosystem. Right now there is no room for water!
  11. I fish both and can't tell the difference.
  12. Well, try the Siebert Outdoors Swim jig, it's killer. My best producer is a 1/2 oz white with a white Rage Tail Structure Bug.
  13. Don't know how they stay in business.
  14. Next time you order you can give it a try.
  15. I'm going to buy a couple of colors and see how we do. If it's really a combination of the Ika & Senko it should be a winner. We'll see.
  16. I don't like casting a Carolina Rig, but it's great for drifting! My #1 bait is the Rage Tail Eeliminator with the Rage Hawg a close second. I am using a 5/0 EWG hook, 1/2-1oz egg weight, 30lb Smackdown and 12lb Seaguar AbrazX leader. The hook-set is a slow sweep while reeling fast.
  17. Well, the temperature below Bull Shoals is a constant 53*, but the Tennessee River releases vary with the temperature of lake water.
