  1. Yes, of course I get skunked occasionally and I don't fish Senkos exclusively either. "The Guarantee" was specifically meant for bank and pond fishermen and water less than 10' deep. I have never fished this bait weighted and I don't fish it wacky rigged. There are at least a thousand ways to skin a cat, mine is just one that is generally successful.
  2. Well, that may be some good advice, but you should see a doctor to get to the root of the problem. If it's arthritis, today's medicines can prevent further damage and alleviate nearly all pain.
  3. Well, I don't know about that. And then you need a complimentary reel to go with it!

My first experience with any artificial bait was with a Creme Purple Worm at Table Rock Lake in 1958 (a year before it was officially opened). In those days it was "catch & keep" and the limit was 15. We had five in the family including mom and little sister who did not fish. We kept 75 Kentucky bass although my dad thought they were largemouth at the time.
  6. Like most guys I have a broad selection of topwater lures. However, I only fish three for the most part: PopMax, Sammy and MegaStrike Cavitron (black on black).

The Edge line-up is the new Gold Standard.
  8. Alternative to the Berkley MaxScent Flat Worm?
  9. I can appreciate that. My PB was caught 1/05/2020 on Lake Toho.
  10. Doesn't sound "different" to me.
  11. One of your very best!
  12. That's a fine looking cat. How old is he?
  13. Sounds like you did everything right. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.
  14. 4000 is BIG! The line diameter is fine so fishing a drop shot should be no problem. Try soaking the line and we'll see if that resolves the issue. One more question: Did you use enough backing to fill the spool?
  15. Some brands are stiff. Are you using 10 lb test? Another idea: Remove the spool with the line spooled and soak it for a few minutes in warm water.
  16. Oops! A swim jig can always be weedless. Good call, my bad.
