  1. This is an example of why we have so many options. I'm not comfortable with the hook-set from a ML, but that's just me. Obviously it works great for ww2farmer and I suspect a lot of other guys, too.
  2. No big deal I guess...If you spend the winter in Florida.
  3. You will get a more helpful response if you give us a pricing point.
  4. Sounds like walleye fishermen on the Great Lakes.
  5. OUCH! Japan Tackle just bit me.
  6. Fish it like a jig and as a jerkbait. T-rigged, 1/4 oz bullet weight, Texposed
  7. Alternative: GYBC Kreature (330), T-rigged 1/4oz bullet weight, Texposed https://store.baits.com/4-yamamoto-kreature.html Looks like a jig, can be fished like a jig or a jerkbait.

  11. Well, it's been a decade or more, but I was one of the first to fish the line when it was introduced. The line had little tensile strength and broke when casting. I tried three spools, one from another retailer. The line was basically unfishable. At the time P-Line was my go-to and I still use CXX on one rig for treble hooks. I really wanted the Floroclear to work.
  12. Well, you have lots of great options. Kentucky Lake, Pickwick and Guntersville are all fairly close. If you want to fish Pickwick and the Tennessee River I can "guide" you for free! For specific advice on gear we need a pricing point, but generically you need to start with a MHF baitcasting rig for single hooks, MM for treble hooks and MF spinning rod. Start with some basic tackle: soft plastics and jigs; Zara Spook or Sammy; Bandit 200 and Red Eye Shad; spinnerbait. The Mid South is know for crappie and blue gill; largemouth, smallmouth and white bass; striper, catfish and drum (ick). The fishing "season" is from January 1 through December 31. Review fishing regulations and be safe on the water.

  14. I catch the most fish in late spring and the biggest in the winter.
  15. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-plastic-worm.html I fish jigs even when I know something else would be a better choice. Although I love me some jigs, soft plastics are often the winning ticket. I don't think there is a serious bass fisherman, including KVD, that has not mastered soft plastics.

  17. Now that's funny!
  18. I think the trip was postponed due to weather.
