    This is my favorite time of year. Before my son left for college we hunted almost every weekend from opening dove season (September 1) through the close of goose season and deer season in January. That was 16 years ago. I have not hunted since. However, when we moved to Tennessee I discovered winter smallmouth fishing. Woo-hoo!
