  1. A few years ago, maybe on your recommendation, I found some pink Fat Ika. Still unopened and I assume, fresh. When smallmouth fishing ramps up on the Tennessee River in a couple of weeks, this will be the lure used for the first cast.
  2. Your favorite color will work just fine.
  3. Well, we have different tastes in music...
  4. I guess I'm not hip anymore. What was that?
  5. A decade of reserve soft plastics in any color and almost every profile. I said to myself, "Self, you don't need to buy another bait/ lure for awhile". Bait Monkey grabs me by the throat and says, "You can sleep when you're dead". Guess I NEED the next new thing!
  6. The spinning rig will be fine. I would suggest #6 line.

  8. Well, I know a lot of guys that are catch and release only, EXCEPT spots. They may not actually eat them, but if they are legal size they keep them and make a bank fisherman very happy.
  9. weird double knot. Anyone know what kind of knot that is? Looks like a variation of a Rapala Knot
  10. I use the Lumaflex skiirts on spinnerbaits. I will be interested in you results with jigs.
  11. Oddly enough, that color seems to be VERY popular around here, throughout the South and Midwest.
  12. We fish year around in the Mid South. The smallmouth in my avatar were caught in January. Water temperature was in the upper 40's.
  13. I am NEVER doing to buy another hard lure until I fish what I already own. The stuff I bought last week or is on the way doesn't count.
  14. Tom, my post was directed to six other members posting off topic and removed. Your post is highlighted because that is the topic. -Kent
  15. Its not hard to average 5lbs at all. Yeah, that sucks...Now I understand why you prefer green fish.
