BIG BASS was 6.71 1st place was 8.18, 2nd place was 8.11 and second BIG BASS 4.18 Most guys were throwing jerkbaits, but I do not know what fooled the Big Bass or what the winners used.

The PR844S might be a little too heavy for everything you have in mind (Ned Rig), but it is an exceptional rod.
