  1. Welcome aboard!
  2. No trailer. Fish them in and around cover and over structure. Vary the retrieve speed to determine what works on any given day.
  3. Jerkbaits represent the largest category of lures in my "collection". Although I was a HUGE LC Pointer fan, I don't think I have fished anything other than the 110 and 110 FX in the last several years. I like collecting them whenver I find a deal, but the truth is I have only fished a couple over the years. Maybe the others would work, too!
  4. Smaller presentations result in more bites and for me, more smallies over 5 lbs.
  5. Usually not, but your results may vary. I prefer a short leader with the knot outside the guides.
  6. Seaguar Flippin' Braid http://www.seaguar.com/freshwater/braid.html
  7. Hmm... The fact that trolling and The Rig cannot be used in tournament fishing might be your first clues. Both are VERY productive, especially in combination. If you are struggling, give it a try and as J Francho suggested, when you get bit stop and fish the area with other techniques. Find 'em, catch 'em!
  8. Braid + fluorocarbon leader.
  9. Yes and I will add the Cut-R to the list.
  10. The record has been broken in both California and Japan. https://outdoors360.com/25-pound-million-dollar-largemouth-bass-caught-shatters-record-dqed-because-foul-hooked/
  11. Just picked up a spool to try. I will post a short review after fishing the line.
  12. Rip-Rap lures for reduced hang-ups: Rage Tail Baby Craw, Lizard and Structure Bug.
  13. And it's still MegaStrike for me.
  14. If I were in your shoes I would have called the buddy over before he came on his own...
  15. Guaranteed To Catch BassI just cant catch bassLearning to fish on your own
  16. CONGRATULATIONS!
