  1. Nice fish!
  2. I have the blue on a spinning reel with a leader and it looks cool! Performance is outstanding.
  3. Well, not an exact fit for your criteria, but my most productive squarebill by far is the Norman Fat Boy (redear pattern).
  4. Natural Light by Anheuser-Busch
  5. KVD Line & Lure Conditioner Spray it on as you respool, about every 25 turns The conditioner is absorbed by the line and reduces memory You can spray it on your reel without any damage at all I don't think anyone uses it on their lures No smell, no gunk
  6. Welcome aboard!

  8. Obviously, you need another rod and reel!
  9. Custom Senko rod from DVT/ Shimano Stella 2500. Have him build the rod just like mine!
  10. Rod sleeves and reel covers. If you don't have a boat with rod lockers carry the rods up front on the passenger side.
  11. 7' MF or 7' MXF is a GREAT all-around spinning outfit. However, for trout, crappie and the Ned rig I prefer 7+ feet MLF

  18. Well, although this incident was tragic, the lake is not really dangerous at all unless you do something stupid. Accidents happen, but a little bit of common sense goes a long ways in preventing mishaps. 163K cubic feet persecond is a lot of water, but the flow is controlled and not all gates are even open. I believe the number at full flow is something around 250K.
  19. Back from the lake and all is well. We caught a few fish and recruited a new "fisherwoman". Her first fish was ~3 lb smallmouth! Otherwise the fishing was just fair mostly due to the weather which restricted where we could go, strong winds, high seas and rain.
  20. Well, I just got invited to fish in another boat so I will not impose on you, but I REALLY appreciate the invitation. However, I have an extensive list of way points and specific spots to fish this week. I would like to invite you to follow us around, there are plenty of smallmouth for all of us! I assume we are still on. Let me know if anything comes up. -Kent
