  9. Yeah, I'm with you. I would much rather be planning a trip to Falcon Lake than Europe, but my wife has her mind set on the continent for next spring. She is all about the historic sites, but my focus will be more on the food and spirits.
  10. A 10.5 lb German Brown using 4 lb test line made for a pretty interesting fight. Fortunately Gary had the drag set perfectly and I was able to maximize the power of the entire set-up trying to move the fish off a ledge and through two large tree trunks. Browns don't give up like bass and the outcome was always in doubt until the fish was in the net.

  12. Night fishing can be fabulous, but most of the parks are only open from dawn to dusk. My biggest bass have been caught between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
