  1. It makes no difference.
  2. I think #10 will be fine, but the line is on sale on the internet most of the time from a variety of retailers. Personally, I would not buy line from any site that is not well known. You just never know how the line has been stored or how old it might be. $7.99 is a great deal, but it is not really "special". If you combine the line with other purchases for a total of $50 or more, many companies will have free shipping and no sales tax.
  3. Any knot will do as long as it is tied properly. I generally use a Palomar Knot for single hooks and a Duncan (also called Pitzen or 16-20) for treble hook lures. The water in Alabama or should I say the Tennessee River in particular, is what I consider "stained". Smoke blends best in stained water, green in clear water. However, I also like clear simply because it compliments some of my rods & reels better! It really does not make any difference.
  4. WTI $47.55 Pump prices are all over the board. The lowest price for regular in Memphis is $1.99, but some stations are as high as $2.35. Seems to me there is a little price gouging going on. http://www.memphisgasprices.com/
  5. Give the Yo-Zuri a try, it is an inexpensive experiment. Most guys on the Forum like it, but some don't. For baitcasting #12, #6 for spinning gear.
  6. Most guys like Yo-Zuri Hybrid, but some don't. The line is very popular here at BassResource.com and inexpensive. For baitcasting try #12, spinning gear #6. I would also recommend treating the line with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner.

  9. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  10. Wow! I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I would NEVER do that to any rod, especially that rod!
  11. I don't know for sure, I have never fished a swim jig without a trailer.
  12. Nice fish, GREAT pic!
  13. Deep cranking is a technique that benefits tremendously from dedicated gear. I fish the Lamiglas SR705R/ Shimano CTE200GT (5.0:1)
  14. Yep... I prefer MF for spinning tackle.
  15. For Shadalicious and the Berkley Hollow Belly this is perfect. I like to rig the Keitech Swing Impact Fat on a 1/4 oz Buckeye Jig head: http://www.basspro.com/Buckeye-Lures-JWill-Swimbait-Head/product/1111190501002/
  16. Great article JT! I'm a BIG fan of the Siebert Outdoors Bluegill, too. I rig this with either a Rage Tail Menace, Structure Bug or the back half of a GYCB Swim Senko.
  17. Welcome aboard!
  18. How 'bout something that he probably doesn't fish, but should? Two chatterbaits, one that is white. Three packs of Rage Tail Structure Bugs, one white. If there is a lottle monsy left, a pack or two of the Owner Jika Rigs.
  19. C'mon... Four years of college, four years of medical school and two years of residency? That is such a waste of time.
  20. Nice fish, great pic!
