  1. Although I have no idea what ESPN pays, I don't think Gruden is so much money oriented. The guy has been courted to some extent by at least half the teams in the NFL and every college team that needs a new coach would love the opportunity to have The Man at the helm. I don't think he is going anywhere.
  2. http://yo-zuri.com/Products/Yo-Zuri_Fishing_Line/details/Yo-Zuri_Hybrid.html P-line is approximately 40% stronger than the implied rating: 8 ~ 11 lbs breaking strength
  3. Well, I inherited a similar assortment from my father. I don't know what they are really worth, but mine are not for sale. I found a beautiful piece of drift wood, actually an old root ball. I dispaly my collection on this in my Man Cave.
  4. Hmm... I think the differences are significant. As a specific example, the edge on Rage Tail baits are patented. I believe the subtle action this imparts on the baits set them apart from other brands with similar profiles. The packaging is another attribute. Nearly every bait is delivered in perfect condition.

  6. Record lows throughout much of the Mid South tonight. In Memphis we are loking at teens.
  7. Jon Gruden seems to like his current gig with ESPN, I don't think he's going back into coaching.
  8. Whoa! Seatlle goes down to the Chiefs and Peyton gets a butt-whoopin' at St. Louis. Denver needs a big back for short yardage. Injuries are another HUGE factor. At any rate, congratulations to Rams fans and the Chiefs faithful.
  9. CONGRATULATIONS! I hope next year is even better.
  10. Pinnacle DHC7 series are on sale for $228.88 right now. The Pinnacle Primmus makes for a beautiful combination. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/review-dhc7-primmus.html
  11. Aren't you retired? Why don't you head south for the winter?
  12. I don't understand the question, but have three of the series and would be glad to respond in detail if you have a specific concern. I REALLY like the rods. I suppose for a representative comparison I would rank the Pinnacle DHC7 series on par with G. Loomis GLX and St. Croix Legend Elite. $228.88 is a steal!
  13. No. I think when you get hooked-up the stretch works to you advantage and makes it more difficult for the fish to get leverage. Mono combined with a Moderate Action rod is very forgiving. I don't lose too many fish and I NEVER make any attempt to keep them from jumping. A big brown fish in flight is probably my favorite part of fishing!
  14. 1964 Premium T Boot with insert. http://www.sorel.com/mens-boots-outdoor-shoes/ I think you might be more interested in the Carribou Boot with wool liner

  16. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Rain all day, then sleet, snow and ice after midnight. With up to 1/2" pedicted schools will be closed and all "non-essentials" will be asked to stay home!
  17. WOW! Congratulations on the win! I thought Missouri could get by Tennessee and your Razorbacks, but as you said, NOT SO FAST! Beating LSU is monumental.
  18. Great game against Texas A&M last night: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=400548341 Looking forward to the SEC Championship Game!
  19. I have been experimenting with braid/ leader and think this is probably the best all-around combination. However, I still use monofilament for treble hook lures.
  20. Rods: G. Loomis, St. Croix, Pinnacle, Okuma, Lamiglas and one custom. Reels: Shimano, Pinnacle and Okuma.
  21. I think you will notice a dramatic improvement if you buy a Moderate Action rod and spool your reel with monofilament line.It sounds like you have done your homework, so I will just suggest a basic starting point: Maintain your rod at 10:00. Keep constant pressure on the fish, it should be either coming in or pulling drag, not staging. I depend on my drag extensively and will muscle the fish to the maximum extent the drag allows. My specific equipment: Pinnacle Optimus XLT/ DHC5-701CAMCB http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/pinnacle-optimus-xlt-dhc-review.html St. Croix Avid AVC70MM/ Scorpion 1000/ Sunline Super Natural G.Loomis PR844S/ Core 100/ Super Natural Lamiglas SR705R/ CTE200GT/ #50 Kanzen with #12 Super Natural leader
  22. Tastsu #8 for spinning tackle, #20 on baitcasters.
  23. For weightless plastics, including flukes, I use a 7' MF spinning rod. Specifically: St. Croix LES70MF/ Stella 2500FB/ #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid and Gamakatsu 3/0 or 4/0 EWG Offset Worm Hooks (thin wire).
  24. My three best investments: Under Armour Cabela's Guidewear Sorel Waterproof Boots
