Pickwick Dam Smallmouth And Stripes?
We fished the first four hours with artificials exclusively. Pete caught the first largemouth on a jerkbait, I think. I hooked up with a 4-5 lb smallmouth using a Chatterbait with a Rage Stucture Bug trailer. We then caught a few on a Silver Buddy and Siebert Outdoors Swim Jig/ Rage Tail Menace trailer. Around 1:00 we switched to live minnows and proceeded to whack a variety of fish, all the usual suspects and five or six brown fish. Pete had a devastating stike, but his line broke. The big "fish" landed was ~10lb drum; for smallies maybe 4lbs+. The fishing was tough due to a STRONG north wind. We quit around 3:00.

Pickwick Dam Smallmouth And Stripes?
Pete and I had a big time, but the wind was challenging!

Siebert Swim Jigs
The Siebert Swim Jig has been very effective for me this year. I prefer no weed guard.

Kut Tail Worm Rigging
This and the MegaStrike Jig Craw are my primary shakey head baits. The orientation on the Kut Tail makes no difference.

St Croix Vs Fenwick
Very nice review. I think St. Croix's reputation is built on the Avid. At the pricing point this series is a great value.

Hmm... I think the AVC70MM is perfect for all medium weight crankbaits and especially square bills.

Curious, Who Else Uses Rage Craws On A Swim Jig?
I love the Rage Craw as a trailer on traditional jigs, but prefer the Menace and Shellcracker for swim jigs.

The First Bite
That is an old saying, but VERY true!

Does Color Really Matter?
Here is a suggestion that applies to both colors and different lures: Test new stuff when the bite is hot.

Rage Tail Baits
#1 Carolina rigged bait. Also used as a trailer for swim jigs and the new Rage Blade.

Does Color Really Matter?
Sometimes color can be critical, but most of the time your favorite color will work just fine.

Is It Hard To Clean A Reel?
Hmm... Just because it's easy for you does not make it easy for me. I have some other skills that many people might find challenging. I don't think the ability to tear down a reel and put it back together determines whether or not we are "doomed as a people".

Is It Hard To Clean A Reel?
Hmm... My handle on a Scorpion was loose which requires removing two little bitty screws and then tightening a little nut. This exceeded my capabilities as one of those little burgers jumped out and ran away!
