No, I think it is a GREAT knot, especially for braided line.

Cast and retrieve on, over and around cover or structure. The trailer provides all the action, you just vary your retrieve speed and depth. For example, if you find fish at 8', try to fish that depth consistantly.

The rod has had a workout this week. I have experimented with three different reels and have settled on the original plan: Stella 2500FB.

The only swim jigs I fish are NorthStar Original Swim Jig and Seibert Outdoors. Fish them anywhere you would fish a spinnerbait. The Rage Menace is a GREAT trailer!

The Rig is not particularly successful this time of year, but fall through spring EVERYONE around here that fishes from a boat carries a dedicated rod.

A have caught a few good size bass, mostly smallmouth, but for the most part The Rig is my go-to for Pickwick stripers.
