  1. Antique gear is best suited for display, decorating a Man Cave or cabin.
  2. Tatsu is THE BOMB! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/118286-seaguar-tatsu-mini-review/ The line is occasionally on sale for $28.
  3. You will get better response in our "Smallmouth" section.

  5. I have the original 1000, not the XT. Mine is saddled on an Avid AVC66MF. This is my dedicated jerkbait rig.
  6. Music, like everything else, evolves. "Favorites" are usually defined by era. These three define Rock & Roll for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBecM3CQVD8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pPvNqOb6RA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9tenSy-vzo&list=RDG9tenSy-vzo
  7. Too stiff and too much memory for mainline.
  8. Be patient, they are on sale most of the time, so much I'm not convinced it's actually a "sale".
  9. These are what I have for jigs and heavier soft plastic presentations. Check them out and see if one fits you: Pinnacle Perfecta 7 DHC7-731CAH 7'3" Heavy/ Fast Pinnacle Perfecta 5 DHC5-761CAMHFS 7'6" Medium Heavy/ Moderate Fast G. Loomis GLX MBR844C 7' H/F G. Loomis GLX BCR 854 7'1" H/F St. Croix LEC70MHF 7' *Note: "Heavy" G. Loomis is about the same as MH St. Croix which seems strange since my "Medium" St. Croix LES70MF is more comparable to MH in other brands. Go figure!
  10. This was 7.49 caught on a Fat Ika: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/lake-guntersville-2012.html If there are any 5 lb bass in the water you are fishing you can catch them on a Senko or Fat Ika.

  12. Your reel is fine. I suggest 6 1/2' - 7', whichever you prefer. If you go with a MF rod it should have a soft tip. An example is the Avid AVC66MF. This is my dedicated jerkbait rod. This would make a fine topwater rod, too!
  13. 10' or less is shallow so in your exmple, both bodies of water would be lumped together and the same. What is far more important is seasonal change. If a body of water dries up ocassionally there is a dramatic impact on the fish population!
  14. Yes, but if there is any issue Cabela's is easy to deal with.
  15. It's been the Rage Structure Bug for me at local ponds. Fishing on Pickwick has been mostly Siebert Outdoors jig/ Rage Craw (PB&J).
  16. Cabela's Guidewear. Mine are the same set shown in my avatar, more than a decade old and still "brand new".
  17. Repeat last year's match-up, Seattle vs Denver.

  19. The best illustration on the graph is the tournament angler. Fishing for dough, not for show. For me, well I'm a "collector" and the gear is important. I care about style as much as function. I like colors that match and/or compliment and that includes the color of the line!
  20. Big O uses JJ's sometimes for color accent on his Rage Tail Baits. I use JJ's or Spike It for the same purpose, but I prefer MegaStrike for scent, lubrication and ease of use. The goo is VERY user friendly.
  21. JJ's, but Spike It will dye the bait. Regarding MegaStrike, I use it on every bait, all of the time...No exceptions other than live bait. The cost is nominal. One tube will last most guys a year or two, unless it gets "borrowed".
  22. I spoke with Big O last week and he recommended tipping The Bug, but what does he know?
