  1. No, but there might have been a turtle under the baitfish. He can't catch them, but he can scare them!

  6. Well, maybe, but there is no evidence of that being the case. This is the main reason northern lakes, especially the Great Lakes have no legitimate chance of ever claiming the World Record. In order to catch something greater than 11-15 requires a population of bass that are double digit. With a population of some 10's, one mutant might break out or just have a HUGE breakfast! http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/smallmouth_record.html Here in the Mid South we have a DD on rare occasion. My recently deceased partner caught one which I netted and weighed. Holding this monster is something I will never forget. A few years later I brought one to the boat which my friend agreed was SUBSTANCIALLY larger than his 10. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/68635-huge-disappointment/

  8. Our Corgi has no tolerance for the neighbor's three Scottish Terriers. She runs back and forth between three upstairs bedrooms and you might think she was coming right through the glass! Even at warp5, she kicks it up a knotch when one of those beasts has the audacity to poop in her yard. Squirrels are a close second and then there are those guys that come buy and "steal" her trash every Friday. She doesn't know she is little, but I'm glad she is small.
  9. "It's a beautiful thing!"
  10. Welcome aboard!
  11. I'm sure the wait will be worth it. Post a review after fishing the rod awhile.

  15. Dang...I purchased this lure two years ago and have never had a strike...I guess it's time to pop the cherry and fish the lure!
  16. That could be original!
  17. Shimano CTE200GT or the "wrong hand" version, CTE201GT
  18. Treble hooks = monofilament line. I like #12 Sunline Super Natural.
  19. Well, I'm not sure I understand the question, but I'll take a shot: The "skill" is knowing where bass tend to stage. As Rick Clunn once said, " Catching bass is easy, finding them is the challenge".
  20. I sent the reel to Mike so that he could balance it with the rod perfectly. I also had him break down the reel for a complete cleaning. It was perfect when I sent it to him, but now it's two notches better!
