  1. Watch the video and I think you will see: http://www.megastrike.com/#!products/vstc2=shake2-heads
  2. A perfect example and one that many of our members have fished is a gravel bar at the entrance of Dry Creek on Pickwick Lake. The bar itself is 3-8 feet deep, but drops off into the main river channel, 20'+. In late winter/ early spring this is a prime nesting area for both largemouth and smallmouth. To add to the picture, the gravel bar is also adjacent to the old creek channel which leades back into a major cove which is spring fed and always clear. Fish may pause or stay on the gravel, but additiong spawning grounds are up the creek. Then to top it all off, there is a secondary cove with boat docks and significant structure. Cover, structure, current, freshwater and immediate access to deep water. Sounds interesting, huh? A couple of years ago fishing with Dinky during the BassResource Roadtrip I caught 78 bass in one day, mostly around Dry Creek.
  3. "Just Getting Started" Guaranteed To Catch Bass I just cant catch bass Learning to fish on your own
  4. The Symetre is an excellent reel.
  5. Both, the bait is very versatile. Fish The Bug anywhere you would fish a jig or another soft plastic. I can also be fish weightless as a topwater lure.
  6. Everywhere you would consider fishing a jig or other soft plastic. As stated on the other thread that is still running on page 1 of this section, I fish The Bug Rage Rigged. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/142319-ragetail-structure-bug/
  7. I still need to try some other presentations, but I'm killin' 'em Rage Rigged!
  8. The rod might be more important for "catching" fish, but the reel makes "fishing" more fun!
  9. Getting an accurate measure will surprise most guys. Here is an alternative to using a scale: Put a 3 lb free weight in a plastic grocery bag and tie it to your line. GENTLY lift the bag and make adjustments to your drag setting as needed. That is probably all the drag you want, but add another pound or two and see what you think.
  10. Great post! I am a big fan of the Rage Tail Toad, too.
  11. Male: King George, Ronnie Dunn and Michael Buble Female: Miranda Lambert, Jennifer Nettles and Pink
  12. The graph illustrates the differences: https://www.google.com/search?q=graph+of+fishing+rod+actions&tbm=isch&imgil=sHckbvEYbRoJGM%253A%253Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fencrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com%252Fimages%253Fq%253Dtbn%253AANd9GcS66X66qsB4xsVCE5iRkn9OmxrvhU-dBLmvMRea377cSROurDO_9A%253B458%253B882%253BM9mDz5TWYwtGyM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.flamekeeperrods.com%25252Fworldclassrodblanks.htm&source=iu&usg=__P7oYSW6m7f7BfXX_fY3PJnQmF50%3D&sa=X&ei=o1_aU86JDYHq8QGl4ICwBg&ved=0CB8Q9QEwAA&biw=1536&bih=884#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=sHckbvEYbRoJGM%253A%3BM9mDz5TWYwtGyM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fflamekeeperrods.webs.com%252FAction%252520Chart.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.flamekeeperrods.com%252Fworldclassrodblanks.htm%3B458%3B882 These might help, too: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/130634-rod-selection-the-basics/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/35514-rods-power-and-action-%C2%A0defined/
  13. I had some good luck with 3/8 oz Siebert Outdoors Big O jigs (PB&J) with a Rage Tail Craw Trailer (PB&J).
  14. Here in the Mid South stripers are in play right now and throughout the summer months. Although my rig is powerful, my rigs are light. This would be representative of my set-up: Outside arms rigged with thin wire 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu Offset Worm Hooks/ LFT Live Magic Shad, no weight. Inside arm rigged with a Johnson Silver Minnow I still don't like casting The Rig, I prefer trolling, especially for stripes.

  17. Try both! Sometimes the fish like a swimming bait so the preference is the Rage Rig At other times they focus on the bottom = T-rig.

  19. Great combination and EXACTLY what I might recommend for an "all around" spinning outfit. The reel and the rod are worth more seperately than you paid for both!
  20. Norman Fat Boy (Redear)
  21. Ledges, especially midday. 10" Thumper Siebert Outdoors 3/8 oz Big O (PB&J)/ Rage Craw (PB&J) BPS 3" Skinny Tube (#71)
  22. Caught a nice one this morning on a Siebert Outdoors 3/8 oz Big O jig (PBJ)/ Rage Craw (PBJ)
