Why would he not be able to weigh in a fish? I think better gear makes "fishing" more fun, but has very little impact on "catching" for the average angler. However, at the very top levels of competition, especially at The Classic, EVERY little thing helps. Just ask Aaron Martens what one fish is worth.

I think every Shimano fan is excited whether they are actually buying the new reel or not. For those that are bargin hunters, the remaining G series will go on sale this week for $99 at BPS and most likely, at other retailers, too!

Yes. They wanted a line with a little give. I prefer some stretch with all treble hook lures.

Hmm... For some reason I can't find the record on an official State Of Florida website. I did find another site with the state record at 17-4.

20+ lb muskies put a twist in coming up with a solution. If it were just bass, 2500 series reels and 20# braid is the easy solution. I would add a fluorocarbon leader, Seaguar InvizX #10.

Jerkbaits are my favorite lures to fish; soft plastics are my most productive.

Go north at the intersection of Poplar & Market Blvd to the first street beyond the Home Depot. The street is "Civic Center", turn left (west). On your right (north) you will see an office complex consisting of mostly free standing, single story offices. The Collierville Library is also in this development. The pond is not easily seen from the road, but appears quickly as you drive into the parking areas. On the far west side is an open space used for field sports.

Here are rigging instructions for a variety of Rage Tail soft plastics. Overall I prefer the Rage Rig on a Moaner weighted hook.
