Hey You Guys! Bama Rig!
Well, I'm a sissy. I still haven't completely recovered from a trip in August. On the first cast both me and my buddy hooked up as soon as The Rig hit the water. He's running the trolling motor so i put my stick in the rod holder. My striper was much bigger than his, but left unattended mine came loose. Rick's fish weighed 28 lbs.

Baitcaster
Read on a little further, I review both the rod & reel. -Kent

What Length Is Your Jig Rod?
Standard lengths are fine (6 1/2' - 7'), but a lot of guys prefer longer rods. Mine are 6'9", 7', 7'1" and 7'6"

Red Hooks
Well, the poll is a very small sampling, but in this case perhaps representative. At almost 3:1, most people prefer plain metal vs. red. I fish a little bit of both simply becasuse red light wire Gamakatu are often on sale. I don't notice any difference in terms of catching bass. My biggest issue with red hooks is that they quickly become gold hooks!
