  3. I am expecting a lot of guys to get all over it! Seems like a GREAT deal to me!
  4. If it is a smallmouth, World Record! Looks like a drum or buffalo to me.
  5. Yo-Zuri Hybrid #4, .009" diameter, 8.5 lb breaking strength.
  6. Kinks create weak spots and they can break.
  7. GYCB Kreature http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/11664-warning-you-might-get-your-arm-broke/
  8. It would be helpful to post your location.
  9. Nice fish, great pic!
  10. Received confirmation, good to go!
  11. I will be there! -Kent
  12. I'm going to fish the Hudd until I catch a fish. I'll keep a general account of time spent and then we'll see how big the fish is that's caught. Don't think I'm discouraged, maybe the real issue is not knowing how to fish the darn thing! p.s. I have caught a lot of fish on Mattlures Baby Bass. However, none have been close to a PB, so the time/ reward trade-off just did not seem worth it to me. I have been through 5 or six of the lures and still have one left. Maybe I will try spending a little more time with that lure, too.
  13. Rage Tail Eeliminator, hands down!
  14. Okay...So I need to slowly drag the Hudd on the bottom?
  15. Well, I piggy-backed with Jeff on his last order of the heavier version and have one of his lighter versions that I borrowed several months ago. I have fished the Hudds approximately 6 hours, two of which were during a strong bite (DD22 & swim jigs). I have yet to get a single strike.
  16. Attended a local Fishing Expo and saw a seminar hosted by a GYCB sponsored pro. This was 1997 and I had never heard of a Senko. I had fished for bass with my grandfather, dad and brother since I can first remember, but for the most part gave it up as a teenager. Fast forward 30 years and introduced to the Senko. I started right off the bat catching big bass and lots of them! I have been hooked ever since. I know pros around the country were already fishing the bait, but not around here. In the early 60's my dad "discovered" the Floating Rapala. The Senko was equally revolutionary and without a doubt, MAGIC!
  17. There are better alternatives depending on how much you are willing to spend.
  18. I have an Avid AVS66MLF/ Stella 1000FA that I only use for crappie, white bass and stocker trout. I don't think a ML rod is appropriate for bass fishing unless you target dinks. I use to fish mine with smaller soft plastics until I hooked up with some decent bass. Man, ML sucks when you have something special on the end of the line!
  19. Sounds harsh. I guess they REALLY don't want us peasants there!
  20. Glenn and some of our sponsors will be there. I know Rage Tail and MegaStrike will be introducing several new baits. I expect some surprises from YUM, too. The new Pinnacle gear looks awesome!
  21. I think you are confusing the terms "Action" vs. "Power" http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/35514-rods-power-and-action-%C2%A0defined/ If your 6'8" is "Heavy Power" that would be the rod for jigs, weighted soft plastics, medium weight swimbaits, frogs, and The Rig. If that's the case, what you really need is a "Moderate Action" rod for treble hook lures. The Avid 70MM that I listed earlier is a perfect example.
  22. I don't think rods should be categorized by species, lures and technique are what's important.
