  4. For the most part, Big O has introduced unique baits in the Rage Tail collection. It wouldn't seem to me the a Rage Tail tube would fit that concept. I'm not necessarily saying "a tube's a tube", but all brands are very similar. 8-)
  5. Thank you! The "other side of the story" makes a lot of sense, but I still think "sale prices" should be the same for everyone.
  6. Green Pumpkin, Watermelon with Black Flakes, Black with Blue Flakes or Black with Red Flakes. 8-)
  7. Focus on structure. Smallmouth will attack the same lures you use for largemouth. Tubes and grubs are probably the most popular soft plastics, but in still water less than 12' deep, the Fat Ika is my favorite. 8-)
  8. I don't know which is "best", but Cabela's Guidewear gets a 10/10 rating from me. 8-)

  13. Geez...Seems ridiculous to me. This is a very popular pricing point. To have crappy components is inexcusable. >
  14. Why would you give up aesthetics when you can have it all? Other brands have built a reputation for performing flawlessly over time AND retaining their "new in box" appearance. "Strong, smooth, silent and reliant." That's how I roll. 8-)
  15. Saturday went well, 24 smallmouth, all about the same, 3-4 lbs. I caught a couple on the white tube, plus some green fish and cats. However, most of fish were caught on the split shot rig. 8-)
  16. Put that one in a display case and buy a new reel. The Curado CU200 E7 is THE BOMB! 8-)
  17. I posted this on your last thread: Re:Fishing Rod Size & Power for Different Presentations? Oct 15th 2009 at 12:09:22 . I agree. Why not start a new collection with the only three rigs you really need? 1. Spinning rig: 6 1/2' or 7' Medium Power/ Fast Action; 2500 series reel ( Symetre or Stradic CI4). For all weightless soft plastics and light lures. 2. Baitcasting: 6 1/2' or 7' Medium Power/ Moderate Action; Citica or Curado 200E7. For all treble hooks. 3. Baitcasting: 6 1/2' or 7' Heavy Power/ Fast Action; Citica or Curado. For jigs, weighted soft plastics and just about anything up to an ounce or so. :

Nope, buy your correct size. The "large" will be perfect. 8-)
  19. It's their standard procedure. Unless I am buying something generic or looking for a particular item, I won't shop there. Sale items that YOU have to bring to their attention? C'mon, give me a break. >
  20. Method #1: String your rod and tie the line to a fixed scale or you will need another person to hold the scale. Back way and adjust your drag so that it begins to release at the desired weight. Method #2: Load free weights or know weights, like a bag of flour or just water, in a plastic grocery bag. Tie your line to the bag. GENTLY begin to lift your rod tip and adjust your drag so that it releases at the desired weight. For me, the drag is set at 25% of the line's breaking strength or 4 lbs, whichever is less. 8-)
  21. If you buy any bottled wine, save the corks... I have an idea. :-?
