  1. I catch around 2,000+ smallmouth a year, on spinning gear, and as you know, you'll need to use your drag, or backreel when fighting smallies! I use my drag 100% of the time!
  2. going to be hard to buy new for under $12,000
  3. Minn Kota Ultrex!!! .....................I'd say foot control
  4. if he's looking for a wide beam as he stated, then that boat is not a good choice.
  5. you should be able to get a nice used 16 ft'er with the 25-40 hp on it for the $12,000 or less price tag. If you do find something, make sure you lake test it. Don't be afraid of a 4 stroke if it's just a few years old. I've been a 2 stroke guy my whole life, but these 4 strokes are great motors!
  6. No disrespect, but I disagree to a point.
  7. the reason why I posted the post, with pics, is because these boats are not out there too much at all, and most know nothing about them.Just wanted to throw another GREAT option out there!
  8. lighten up Francis! I don't work for Polar Kraft! it's just a suggestion! LOL oh yea!...also, that's not just pics I got off internet, that's MY Polar Kraft that i just "bought" a couple weeks ago! Only picture that isn't my boat is the picture of the front "V" of hull.
  9. I'm betting those aluminum Vexus's won't be cheap!.with the max HP on it, I"ll bet it pushes right through the $35,000 price tag, and approaches the $40,000 tag, from what i have been hearing.
  10. If you're looking to go a "mod V", and if there are any Polar Kraft dealers in your area, I'd give them a look. I choose a Polar Kraft 195 Pro over Ranger and Crestliner when it came to a mod V aluminum boat. One reason is shown in picture below of front of a Polar Kraft 195 Pro mod V. It has a very distinct "V" in front bow section. MUCH better in rougher water! 19'5", 96" beam, and the beam stays wide throughout the boat! also............their mod V's are 100% wood free!!!
  11. Minn Kota is kicking Motorguides butt, and it looks like Humminbird is kicking Lowrance's butt! you can tell this from certain other sites, on whats for sale, and what is being bought. MK and Humminbird working together with linking their TM's and Humminbird's depth finders/gps's are killing the competition!
  12. Bought my first boat at 16, and never been without one since
  13. flip the hitch receiver, and if it's a 1" drop, then you will add 2", and if a 2" drop, then you'll add 4" in height once flipped. that should do it!...........NICE BOAT!
  14. hooked up and getting her ready to pull home!
  15. How about when someone buys a leftover 2yr old boat, such as buying a leftover 2016 model right now. That boat may be “new” when you hooked it up to your vehicle for the first time, BUT! That boat just became 2 yrs old when you got it home!
  16. Much better choice than the Spectrum/Force combo.
  17. just got ahold of the owner of the dealership, who’s going to do the water test, and I told him not to take it above half throttle. He said that will be no problem. I know not to baby it too much during the first hour, as that can glaze the internal parts, which will forever alter performance.

  19. New leftover 2017 Polar Kraft 195 TX Pro / Suzuki 140 four stroke. Still sitting far far far away (800 miles!) Just dropped a deposit on it, and picking it up next week.
  20. so letting the dealer do it like I stated would be ok?..... 1) idle at boat ramp at least 5 minutes till warmed up. 2) get on plane and run it at around 4500 rpms, while varying throttle/speed for around 10 minutes. 3) then take it WOT for around 1 minute 4) take back down to mid 4-4500 rpms for a couple minutes 5) trailer it
