  1. Some that I use are VMC Boxer Jigs. I like them!
  2. Funny how when you look back at what you caught MANY bass on 30 or so years ago, and you now don't use any of it...???
  3. I use a quality 6lb test copolymer from real to bait! Izorline XXX Super Co Polymer
  4. ^^^this^^^ you definitely want a faster ratio reel because of those speed demon smallies! I like using a baitcaster for target casting cover while kayaking rivers. MUCH better accuracy than a spinning reel. I use a pair of older discontinued BPS Carbonlite CL10H's (the gold colored ones).
  5. Oh I have! Just wipe it off asap! Lol
  6. yep that fish looks like close to 6#'s
  7. I'd say close to a 7lb'er, because of it's length. Does not have that "PIG" girth though. I've caught hundreds and hundreds of smallies over 5 lbs, and multiple dozens over 6, with several over 7, all from Lake Erie over the last 30 years, and that's not 9 lb'er.
  8. oh boy! not another one! that isn't close to 9lbs! my biggest smallie is a 7lb 14oz, and that doesn't weigh that.........IMHO?
  9. Oh hell no!? I would NEVER buy a brand new boat that they had to cut holes in it to fix a manufacturer problem from the get go! NO WAY!!!
  10. Allstate, FULL coverage ($28,000 replacement cost, $250 deductible), $219 a year
  11. Some new pics after a few upgrades. *Minn Kota Fortrex 24V/80lb *Humminbird Helix 9 Mega SI on console (I use the small indash Lowrance while running, Helix 9 SI when idling/searching area) *dual Humminbird Helix 7's up front (one for graph, one for GPS) *Millennium palma seat up front (THE MOST COMFORTABLE SEAT I EVER HAD!!!) *Upgraded steering wheel (adds a little "bling") *Fulton F2 2000lb winch *Stoltz bow roller 2017 Polar Kraft TX195 Pro/Suzuki 140 four stroke.
  12. been fishing for over 50 years, and my "boat' has not caught a fish yet...........
  13. those who have a gunnel track, here's a nice clean way to mount your console graph. I like it better than flush mount in console. i can take it off, and avoid theft! i had to use the angled bracket, since my track is on an angle. https://berts-tackle.shptron.com/p/polar-kraft-track-bracket-set-60-2-brackets?pp=8
  14. NEVER heard of running a full can of seafoam in 1 gallon of gas unless you are using it as a "shock" method. meaning idling around, not more than 2000 rpms, for 20-30 minutes, then letting sit for about 30 minutes, repeat if neccesary, then hooking 100% gas/oil mix without seafoam and running full speed for a while to clean it out. NEVER running around normal speeds/full speed at a 1 gallon gas/full can of seafoam!
  15. I live in northeast Ohio, and I fish out of my boat in my area, including Lake Erie, till mid December. You would not believe the fishing through November! As good as spring at times! if winter is mild, the bite can last till Christmas!
  16. Amazing a V8 four stroke outboard weighing just a tad over 500lbs! AWESOME!
  17. I have an Ascend 12T, and love it!
  18. Lol St Lawrence hasn't been a "secret" for over 30 years! I used to go twice a year there back in the early 70's through the early 80's. It was magical!!! EVERY species was plentiful! You could catch a dozen trophy musky in a day, dozens of trophy Northerns in a day, and 200 bass a day back then! I was catching 30-40 lb Northerns & Muskies at 7-8 years years old! My father spoiled us! Still awesome, and still can catch 200 bass a day at times, but pressure took it's course, and the fishing for the "trophy" toothy critters has definately took a hit.
