I had a good encounter one day middle of the day i seen a snake up a small tree was hoping it was a rat snake i couldnt tell from (sun was blinding me) the ground so i climb up it got about a foot away from him with MY FACE as soon as i seen it was a racer he struck at me catching my ear pretty good i had blood flowing like i lost my ear I LOVE SNAKES

Yup same size as mine his body was big as my forarm and i got big forarms his head was 3 inches wide i weighed him in a 5 gallon bucket and he was about 13 lbs like u say very gentle snakes seems the bigger the more gentle smaller rat snakes like to do a show the first time caught but tame down really fast
