This may sound weird but if im lookin for a rod at a store i carry a q tip with me to check guides before i buy it just put the q tip in each guide gently and twist it if the guide catches any fiber it has a bad one .you would be surprised the stuff a rod goes through before it hits the shelf

A swivel or snap hampers teh action if they are smaller raps but a j-7 or j9 it dont do too much to bother um of course using a small one is better

just close the gap with pliers

i dont own a record but i think it could have a fixed shaft/spool

centrigul is for controlling the faster movement of the spool where as magnetic is for when the spool is going slower also for fine tuning a diff size bait... say going from a 3/8 to 1/4

wow 209 votes and 24% are for the new Revo how long has the new curado been out ??no wonder they are doing a makeover and this can mean a lot considering there are more choices for curados then revos .there are 5 kinds of revos all based on the same size frame BUT what matters in 2008 is material differances, price points, bearin count etc etc , all the way from Joe public to skeet reese YEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW ABU FOR LIFE!!!!!!!

Im a diehard manns guy i have over 500 pack sof augertails ,jellyworms,and shadows of every color u can think of and each size ,then i tried the hard nose really nice lure if the bass are really aggressive but if bass need a more subtle presentation i stick with the reg manns or zooms,the frogs are dynomite though i think better then zooms

prob not a bass if it didnt jump .when i caught my 10 pounder it jumped 2 times like slow motion i can still see it in my mind 20 yrs later.then agian maybe colorado bass dont jump cause of the gravitaional force of the moutnains??? if u wait a few more months u maybe able to get citicas and curados for 30 or 40 bucks brand new since they are makin new ones
