So many "yuppies" with money to burn nowdays think they are the "almighty" and "best" just because they fish one day and catch a few fish and are the "Athuority" on what to use when ,how and why >same as meetin um on a lake .just like in spring people come out of the woodwork to cut grass not for pride in knowing HOW to cut grass but just for money and fake fame...I go to gander mountain a lot and imma tell ya what 90% of the shoppers there know it all case in point ...Im standin in line with a "baitcasting" rod guy says where do u fly fish he prob had about 800 bucks in flyfishing stuff then wnet on to tell me the best Flies to use and so on i just said yup ..did i mention hate salesman that try and sell me reels or rods that are the best in the world .Then bamm i ask what is it made of ,how many bearings,, etc etc they either lie or have NO freakin clue LMAO way off topic i know but FAKE fisherman can be on TV and in real life

Im in Maryland and i tell ya what i have been playing on ice on a stream that goes to a farm pond and broke through on purpose water wasnt deep,,,, and low and behold when the water would wash over the chunks of ice i saw a lot of small fry catfish about a inch long tryin to go back in the water from off the ice

Yup i agree Muddy Cabelas has a lot of big name reels that are CABELAS EXCLUSIVES models only they sell not even the websites of said manufacturers have them.How do they do that ??? i have about 10 C5 garcia mag reels. Garcia site dont even list any magnetic reels besides revos .Bass pro does have better lure selection though online and instore

pike compete with bass when both are the same size as they get older water temp ,time of year and prey availbality make a impact on both species pike shut down metobolicly after water temps hit 75 deg and bass start to be more aggressive water temps hit 45 pike excel think of it like this u have lions and cheetah that BOTH hunt on the plains lions can hunt anywhere swamps, plains ,thickets cheetahs can only hunt in the wide open pike and bass both hunt the same areas but bass can go deeeper in wood weeds and such pike are more open/ambush type feeders with eyes on top there heads

im a garcia guy and i handled both and IMHO that exceler is the best bang for your buck on any reel under 80 bucks its aluminum and im a big fan of reels made of this and at 70 bucks wow

Its easy if u use plastics or jigs u use ur ROD to move ur bait not the reel thats only used to take up slack line 8-)

i have used them all from quantum to pinnicale Abu to shimano penn to daiwia and IMO u will never go wrong using shimano or garcia .All a man needs is Shimano or Garcia im surprised all other reels aint obsolete yet 8-)

A US post office can be used to verify the weight of the fish and usally u have planty of witnesses there myabe lucky if DNR is checkin thier mail at the same time to identify the fish also OR if ur lucky the IGFA might have a mom and pop store /business thats involved with them close by
