you can only go as light as the spool clarence will allow between the top of spool and the frame ,i can fit 6lb on my pro max1600,s and 3600, very tight tolerances. On my c-3-4-5,s 10 lb is as far down as i can go.Also has a lot to do with the rod its has to be able to load up and cast w/e weight your using

i have about 30 combos and i use 3 98% of the time lmao 2 baitcasters 1 6'6" MH for worms/jigs/big Sb/ 1 6 foot pistolgrip for small cranks/sb/topwaters and 1spinning rod 6'6" m for small stuff

this is true i have beat up banged up stuff as well and work better then new .These baits are made for reaction strikes anyhow color dont mean as much as sound ,,35 yrs of fishing i dont no it all but the lure tells the truth in the end

I have never had an issue getting parts for a BPS branded reel. Have you tried calling their parts number. Nope, I had the reel about year and a half of fishing and got this problem tells me the reel is junk. A Curado, Revo, or Zillionare would not do that. your 100% positive that none of these reels have had to be returned or repaired???
