  1. Worse part? 3 days ago we were at 88 for the official high and my yard was totally clear of snow.
  2. Others to look at are the Yo-Zuri 3DB SP-110 and SP-110 Deep
  3. Looks like you got a bit more than me...maybe an inch in my backyard...
  4. Ah yes, lovely April weather we're having.
  5. I just got a length of steel pipe that fits over the handle of the breaker bar if I need more leverage.
  6. Ya - the tool box I keep in the rear of the cab includes a breaker bar and a set of deep sockets.
  7. That's why I have 3 batteries in 'Bass Trek' - starting, TM, everything else.
  8. I like to keep battery functions separate...starting battery for the motor, deep cycle for everything else....quirk of mine.
  9. I've always used a deep-cycle for non-starting applications...never seemed to give me issues doing that. Current setup is a 100ah AGM deep cycle for the TM and a 35ah AGM deep cycle to run pumps, lights, sonar, my cameras and my tablet. I got a small Group 24/550cca for the Evinrude.
  10. Last three days we were 87, 88 and 84 for the official highs....this weekend?
  11. Latest from WB&T
  12. If you look over Scheels website - specifically at their spinning reels...their 'Scheels Outfitters' brand has "By Daiwa" right there in the description.
  13. I just popped in to check the in-stock Daiwas at the local Cabelas Tatula CT Tatula 100 Tatula SV Lexa 300 Zillion SV and 8 models of spinning reels.
  14. You mean about what it would be if the price hadn't been artificially suppressed all these years? I remember paying $1.37/gallon when I had my Cuda back in 1977 - as a high-school student working part-time, I didn't drive it very much. If gas had kept pace with inflation, it'd be $6.60 a gallon now.
  15. Still waiting for full open water on Tonka - shot of Cook's Bay when I was on an errand this morning.
  16. Was the purchase of Plano 2 years ago during the COVID financial downturn the straw that broke the camel's back? Inquiring minds want to know.
  17. I've got a 5x2...
  18. I've mentioned on another thread that I like crappie patterns as they're one of the main forage in my lakes. Here's my 'collection' - most from Clyde's Cranks....he does a bang-up job though since he paints as orders come it, it takes a bit to get them. Top going clockwise: 110-class jerk, lipless, 1.5 squarebill, 2.5 squarebill, 07 size shad, little deep Off to the side is a Bucca Baby Gill.
  19. If you're not using the rod to move line, but just the reel - you'd need to increase the gear ratio (or turn the handle faster) to pick up more line.
  20. Why does this not surprise me? Right - other than the 4 years in Omaha courtesy of the USAF, I've been in MN for 49 years.
  21. Those are some very nice bass...and I'm jealous. Ice still on the lakes, though slowly disappearing - and bass season doesn't even open for another 30 days.
  22. Dutch and Whaletail are the one's I'm looking closely at....
  23. Ok - Keller has been declared open now
