  1. I let off some profanity here and there - but it's not part of my usual speech. Mainly when I do a knuckle-head move and hurt myself from it... Far as hearing it from others...I just ignore it best I can.
  2. I tried four different spots - saw fish in 8-10' on DS and went after them....obviously they either didn't want what I was throwing or they knew it was me and were giving me a big, old raspberry. Those there are eating size, man....they would have ended up in my livewell.
  3. Well Lowes doesn't have the LiFePo4 from MM....BUT https://www.homedepot.com/b/Electrical-Batteries/MIGHTY-MAX-BATTERY/N-5yc1vZc28mZojv
  4. That's why I'm sticking with Mighty Max when I upgrade - Lowes and Home Depot both have 'ship to store' for MM batteries....have a problem, take it back there.
  5. Well don't try the west end - I had a big, fat skunk riding my arse today. On the up side - old max speed 17-18mph - new top speed 25mph...and she planes better too.
  6. I dunno about down there - but this is the current temp here near Minneapolis
  7. Alrighty - hooked-up for an outing today - so here's the 'Bass Trek' ready for the water.
  8. Given how good my Mighty Max AGMs have been - when I go to Lithium, I'll keep with 'The Max'.
  9. I still recommend Aird-X rods. Despite having Victorys and Mojo Bass in my arsenal, I still have 2 Aird-X in rotation.
  10. @Way north bass guy and @GaryH - just had to make sure...I've heard horror stories of people trying to start their motors with a Lithium battery not rated for starting...that the OP didn't state a CCA had me worried.
  11. Unless that battery has a CCA rating - I would NOT use it for cranking. AH doesn't matter for cranking - CCA is what you need.
  12. Mine shows the F-9 in the parking slot and the truck out front...so last summer sometime.
  13. I just took some scrap I had laying around and built my own spooling station. Big-ass spring clamp secures it to the edge of the work-bench.
  14. If you catch one the 13th - you'll be before me...I'm not gonna be on the water that weekend...week after, yes, but not during the insanity that is Opening Weekend.
  15. Don't when it's gonna go bye-bye - but just after ice-out I picked mine up at the local BP.
  16. I do both of these. The P-Touch labels have test and line type in 2-3 character abbreviations SGE = Seige SMK = Smackdown IVX - InvisX Etc. Small print size, two lines - baitcasters, it's inward of the handle on the underside; spinners, I put it on the spool where the pre-printed line capacity is. The Excel sheet I keep in Google-Drive, so it's available on my phone.
  17. Ya - both the 2500 and 3000 are at 7.2oz - the 1000 is 6.2...0.1 lighter than the Ultegra. When I got mine - Digitaka's price was $107...now it's up to $116, and no tax or shipping charge really helps.
  18. My local BP station carries minnows in tanks (Speedway has bagged) Shiners - sparse Chubs - moderate amount Crappie - meh.
  19. So far only bench-tested it - purchased from Digitaka this past winter, bass season doesn't open for 12 more days. Light, smooth...so far I'm impressed.
  20. I'm running a Miravel 2500 on my 7'1 M/F - the 6'10 ML will get the Ultegra 1000 currently on the 702SF
  21. Sounds familiar somehow. OH WAIT That's Minnesota you're describing. ?
  22. I have the 703SF and the 702SF Spend the extra $20 and get St Croix Mojo Bass I've already upgraded my 703SF to a Mojo 7'1 M/F - next on the list is changing out the 702SF for a Mojo 6'10" ML/XF
  23. My plan for taking the boat out for crappie on Thursday is pretty much solid. I'll let you know if the west part of the lake is doing any good - planning on hitting Cook's, Emerald and Seton...may pop up into Harrison's too.
  24. There use to be a place in Anoka just off 10 that served frog legs. College buddy and I were driving a moving van from Chicago to Bemidji - moving the new pastor of the parent's church - and stopped in. Not too bad - something for a change of pace, but not something I'd order regularly...this was back in 1979 so doubt the place is still there.
  25. Meanwhile in Minnesota Thursday A 20 percent chance of showers after 2pm. Sunny, with a high near 70. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Right now, plans are to get 'Bass Trek' on the water Thursday for two purposes. 1: Test the raising of the motor to see if planing is better and I get higher speed out of it 2: Crappies for the freezer - my local guy has been catching hoards of keeper crappies on Tonka the past week, and says with the warm up, it should get even better.
