  1. If you want 1: No anti-reverse switch - the new models did away with them 2: Slower retrieve rate - instead of just the 20 and 25 having 5.2:1 and the 30 and up having 6.2:1, they all have the 5.2:1 gear ratio now. I had no problems with those, so was seriously looking at a new Supreme 30....went with the JDM Miravel 2500 instead.
  2. ^ For a budget rod, Aird-X is my go-to as well. Despite my upgrading gear this year including 3 Victory rods - I'll still have 3 Aird-X rods in the bass line-up.
  3. Gotta realize that Ontario 'dips' south. He's at about the same latitude as me in the Minneapolis area - or mid-state Maine.
  4. Still loving Digitaka's shipping time - less than 72 hours from placing the order, shipped from Kobe, JP to my door. This is going on a Victory 7'2" MH/M as my new prime crank rig. The Fuego CT on the Fury 705CB is being relegated to spinners/chatters.
  5. There is a braking mechanism for the C3 round reel - it's called your thumb. Magnetic/Centrifugal brakes pretty much came around with the low-profile reels....my 40 year old Ambassaduer 500R has magnetic brakes...but I remember my dad's old Ambassaduer 5000 (older than your C3) didn't have any braking system.
  6. From what I've heard - for a number of years after the state record bass was caught in 2005, Auburn Lake in Carver Park Reserve was 'pounded'.
  7. Right where the top of the '8' is...
  8. According to Accuweather - Fargo so far has just been 'brushed'...but central ND got dumped on.
  9. Well, my house it hit 62 just before lunch....now it's 33
  10. Around here - if the fridge is in the un-insulated garage or the three-season porch, then you'd keep the beer in there so that it doesn't freeze solid and burst the can.
  11. Mine is so old, the only things stamped into the sides are 'Leatherman Tool' and 'Portland, OR'...I think it's from a time when there was only one model... I'm never without it.
  12. Today the bottom drops out Today's predicted high is 63, by 9pm it'll drop below freezing....and stay there for the next week.
  13. Patience Padawan - I had the same issue with the Miravel I wanted for 6 weeks...then it came into stock and I snatched it up. Course I was checking it daily...things change fast - the day after mine shipped, they were out of stock again.
  14. 110yds of 14# mono is what's published. All my Pfluegers (President XT, Supreme, Patriarch) and my Fuegos hold more than that.
  15. Ya - I have one spinning reel with straight FC - 2500 reel, 8# InvizX,,,use KVD every time. I wouldn't go higher.
  16. Check it out here - order from there...easy-peasy. Love the shipping time too...ordered a 22 Miravel 2500 last Monday, shipped from Kobe, Japan...had it in hand by Thursday...TW could learn a thing or two about order fulfillment from those guys.
  17. If they had any in stock - Digitaka does carry the 21 Nasci 2500, which is the 5:1 version. The USDM model is the 21 Nasci 2500HG
  18. Ya - which is why I have 2 Victorys in my wishlist there already.
  19. Pretty typical - TW does the same...says the Daiwas aren't included...but gives you the discount at checkout.
  20. For the same as a USDM Nasci - get a Miravel from Digitaka...it's got the CI4+ body like the Stradic for $97.
  21. I put a Victory rod in mine - came up 'Not eligible for discount' at checkout.
  22. And the roads turn into skating rinks.
  23. Personally - if you're trying to save money for lures - I'd swap things. Get better rods, and downgrade the reels. Couple Fuego CTs - or go to Digitaka and get a couple Tatula 100s. Then St. Croix Mojo Bass or Victory rods. The rod is much more important than the reel in any fishing situation. Note: I have both the rods you mentioned and while they're decent, I know better now and am spending the money on rods over reels.
  24. Omnia is starting early - 20% off across the site with code 'EARLYBF' - ends on the 17th. "Excludes gift cards, marine electonics, Megabass, Daiwa, Shimano, St. Croix Rod, Abu Garcia and other select items."
