  1. For tools I've got a boxed kit that has precision flat, phillips, torx, hex and nut drivers. Add tweezers, toothbrush, toothpicks, mini-crescent wrench and small needle-nose pliers. I also have a parts grabber to pick up tiny screws, etc...just because I'm occasionally fumble-fingered. Chemicals, soft lint-free cloths ($5/pack of 50) and syringes for placing oil round out the 'consumable' supplies
  2. Male-female connectors like those have two sizes on them 1: The width of the 'spade/receptor' - usually .250" - measure to be sure 2: Wire size that will fit the crimp end - usually a range when it's smaller wire sizes - may be a single size for 6 gauge.
  3. Exactly what I did to catch mine on the spinner. Even ran it between the main patch and the small 'outliers' that crop up here and there. It was about 10 casts before this baby deigned to come out and hit the spinner.
  4. Fish in my profile pic? End of July, 85+ degree day, nearly glass surface, not a cloud in sight. 3/8oz White/Chartreuse twin-willow blade spinnerbait I'll fish spinners from ice-out to ice-in.
  5. I think you need to take a nap, Mike.
  6. Ya - the Pflueger 20s are equivalent to other brand's 500 size. A ML is probably the heaviest rod I'd use with that. I had a Pres-20 on a UL rod for panfish, but sold it last fall as it was too light for bass and my L/F Ned rod works great...have a 1000 on that (Pflueger 25 size)
  7. I've been over that thing twice - once going south, once going north...NEVER AGAIN! That thing scares the crap out of me...and not much does that. Always nice to have good fishing on a trip....
  8. Join the club - this is my tab list. Rigs-current is what I posted above, Reels-Rods is stats on those, History is past years, and the rest should be self-explanatory. I got other tabs to keep track of giftings I've received or sent, stats on lures (weight, hook size, etc) and my 'wish list'.
  9. Dunno about the head - haven't opened my Endura 30 to look...might just be screw connectors that the bare wire goes into, might be some kind of plug-in connector. If you got the Power Center Box - you've got a 50amp breaker already...if you want to upgrade that to a 60amp, then put it in on the positive line as close to either the battery or TM as possible and bypass the built-in breaker on the box.
  10. That would be the best route...connections can fail, overheat, etc. By making it a single run you eliminate possible points of failure.
  11. I'm very happy so far with my rigs Haven't even hit $100 on any item - and that includes the Patriarch that I got used for $70 - rest I got on sale or closeout.
  12. Take the cover off, trace the current 10 gauge to it's attachment points - re-wire with this which should be more than enough to reach TM to battery. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00MI5NOCG/?coliid=I1JHY51WZ67OC6&colid=2FGJVI8R82B0P&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  13. One point or another in the 80s, I belonged to all four services...not at the same time.
  14. Is that Carson's or St Louis Bay?
  15. I used those exact ones to connect the 8 gauge main run with the 10 gauge TM wires on my setup...just crimp the 10 gauge end REALLY HARD.
  16. I did borrow a friend's copy and perused through it. Thought I was back in college in my Aquatic Biology program...it's pretty dry reading.
  17. St Croix Mojo Bass Glass Casting rod - the 7'2" medium covers 1/4-3/4oz right at that $150 mark, the 7'4" medium-heavy covers 3/8-1oz for $160. If you're keeping to 5/8oz or less, the medium would be fine.
  18. Realize that by putting that online they're violating copywrite laws and can get in BIG trouble...and by posting the link, you can too.
  19. Looks more like a green to me.
  20. I modified my scale - removing the hook and replacing it with a carabiner. That way if the fish (what ever species) flops around, the grip can't jump off the hook.
  21. Do you need backing? No Is it a good idea? Yes I back all my lines - 10# Big Game on my BCs, 6# Elite on my spinners - and only put 65-70yds of mainline on. That way I can get 3 'fills' from a 200yd source-spool.
  22. If the BPS ones are the same as the ones I got - ya - my smalls work just fine on 8# InvizX.
  23. ^ Truth - 99% stings like an SOB...and that's exactly why most med-professionals recommend 70%...it don't sting as much, so people are more likely to use it.
  24. My mom - an RN for 25 years followed by teaching new nurses for 15 - is the one who told me 99%.
  25. No - searching around I found a few brands that have different sizes...based on line diameter...these are the ones I got https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08RDZHQ53/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
