  1. I add Liquid Electrical Tape to that - gets in where the shrink-tube can't cover.
  2. Even with my 'budget' rigs - I got nothing that weighs over 14oz total including line, and heaviest (MH/F spinning) to lightest (L/F spinning) has a difference of only 2oz...with my BCs falling in the middle of the range. If I need to pay $300+ just to save 1-2oz on a rig...it's not worth it. If a 14oz rig is 'troublesome' but a 12oz rig is 'delightful'...there's something definitely wrong - and not with the rigs.
  3. I'll say it again $50 price-bracket - can't beat the Diawa Aird-X
  4. Plus, the only ones BPS has left are the 35s - 3000 size. I've got a 3000 reel...on my MH/F rig that I use for skipping jigs, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, etc. A 30 is the size I use on a medium rod - weightless worms, shakyheads, etc. 25 is a finesse reel - drop/split shots, neds, etc 20 is for ultra-light - trout, panfish, etc
  5. <- Low budget guy here Dobyns Fury 705CB MH/M Except poppers - those go on my Fury 703SF.
  6. Ya - if you want to pay 50% more than list or almost 3x what BPS/Cabelas was selling them for. I got one because I got an XT for the price of a non-XT - not because it was the LE...really no difference between the XT-LE and the plain XT.
  7. The 2020 Limited Edition model was a black base. I think the 2017 Limited Edition was the blue.
  8. It's a 'jazzed up' President XT. Operationally - it's a Pres-XT - no difference. Just a special color job and emblem - and a limited run...nothing more. I got mine from BPS for $50 - so a Pres-XT for the price of a Pres.
  9. You're just weird, Andy...has nothing to do with the workouts.
  10. Under $150? Dobyns Fury 735C Little over that: Dobyns Sierra 735C
  11. Sheels is a family-owned business despite their 'size'. Upper midwest - they're based out of Fargo, ND. Fleet Farm is also an upper midwest shop...and they have a good selection and great prices. Example: $20 for Seaguar InvizX up to 12# is their every-day price...not special...so 20% less than most everyone else
  12. It IS a limited edition for 2020 - they only made so many and I'm not surprised they sold out. I got a 30 size last fall. Very nice reel.
  13. I learned that one within a year - and 30 years later I still keep to it (our 31st anniversary is this coming Wednesday).
  14. Don't own one, so no idea...;)
  15. Choosing the right spot is more important - if the bass ain't there, no bait will help.
  16. I can't see enough detail on individuals to even hazard a guess.
  17. No harm, no foul...just sayin' Between the two I mentioned and Fleet Farm I can find just about everything I need...usually at even better prices than TW - especially Fleet Farm. I don't even look at TW's site lately...
  18. Discussed ad-nauseum already. California's draconian COVID-19 response is the culprit. TW is down staff and they're handling the 'express orders' first...the more express orders that come in, the further back the regular orders get shifted. That 'estimated' date could change and get further out between now and then. I just gave up and did my orders from Scheels and FishUSA...they get their orders out VERY quickly.
  19. I'm still using Abu oil and grease on all my reels - just need one good one of each. Maybe some Cals for fiber drag-washers...though some use that for the gears too. TSI-321 oil gets high praise from many members here. Was my dad's when he was an engineer - passed down to me years ago.
  20. 8 Gauge female spade disconnects https://www.amazon.com/Insulated-Disconnect-Electrical-Connector-Terminal/dp/B08451M1RC/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&qid=1624042536&refinements=p_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A18945766011&s=industrial&sr=1-3
  21. Or even go down to 4# from someplace else - Yo-Zuri under-states the strength of Hybrid.
  22. Quickest? E-mail it to yourself, selecting 'medium size' in the options.
