Don't feel bad....
I get everything on sale or used at steep discounts. My most expensive rig (Patriarch/Fury 704) cost me $160...about 1/2 retail.

Sufix Advance Monofilament
I've got 10# on my President XT/Fury 703C - it's my prime jerkbait rig. Casts well, some memory - but KVD fixes that, get good distance and haven't had a blow-up yet

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Nice fish man - meanwhile I'm still searching for my first 5'er.

What kind is these snakes?
Fight or Flight reflex, pal. When you're shocked by something that looks scary, it can appear bigger...just sayin'

What kind is these snakes?
Forget where you're located, but it looks pretty close to an Eastern Milksnake...pretty harmless, they're constrictors (like an anaconda but max of 4' in length). Corners of it's main range are Maine, Ontario, Alabama and North Carolina - though some outliers may exist. They're kept as pets by a lot of people, and they're pretty docile unless cornered.

New boat owner - not sure what battery to buy
That Duracell at Sams is less power than 100ah - looks to be a 95AH The Power Center will not fit a Group-31 battery - Group-24 or Group-27...

New boat owner - not sure what battery to buy
Battery should be good for a couple hours...a 55# Minnkota will pull 50amps of power at max speed...and you don't want to drain an AGM down to zero. Running at max, you got about 90 minutes on a 100AH battery...slower speeds use less power and give you more time on the water. Dump the Atwood box and the separate circuit breaker - get a Minnkota Power Center or a Newport Vessels Smart box - both have built in circuit breakers and auxiliary ports for things like phone charging, fishfinders, etc.

Kayaks & Canoes - Let's Fish
Any craft can benefit from electronics - and the PA-12 is rigged for it with the Guardian. A 7" unit mounted to the Forward Accessory Mount should be plenty visible A 20AH battery in the hatch and you're good for a full day of fishing.

The latest sale thread
Omnia Fishing has marked all Outkast tackle 25% off through Monday - no code needed. This is the brand of Jigs and other items that Seth Fieder uses - he even has a couple signature items with them.

The latest sale thread
TW's sales have been few and far between this year...doubt they'll have a 4th sale

Kayaks & Canoes - Let's Fish
Same here - even with the trailer. Rods are lashed to the canoe for transport...putting them in their holders, putting on the outriggers, mounting the transponder all takes time...then reversing all that at the end. Yep - that was a prime consideration when doing the mods.

Chatterbait Questions
My last decent outing, both fish caught on chatterbait...always have one tied on.

Used Boat Values
NADA doesn't do market fluctuations based on supply and demand. Right now, boats are in demand, and due to raw materials shortage, the supply is low...so the prices are inflated.

Tatula or Fuego
I use a Fuego for this without issue. Realize that the only real difference between them is that the Tatula CT has the T-Wing...same frame, spool, main gears. The two extra bearings? Those are in the handle knobs.

Spot Lock Trolling Motor
Lucky - we got million dollar houses with extensive dockage lining most of the lakeshore. Some house's docks have 3-4 'bays'...one for a wakeboat, one for a cruiser and one or two for jetskis...all for one residence. This is what we put up with for shoreline on Minnetonka.
-
Spot Lock Trolling Motor
Deephaven and I both fish Minnetonka, but different parts. Docks are a dime-a-dozen here...a 5' jog won't put you from one side to the other.

We got members from England and Portugal who are regulars - can't just be because it's overseas.

Braid on Bait caster
This is pretty typical for those of us using braid - it's called 'backing'. Put mono on the spool to the point where you only need 70-90yds of braid to fill it. Saves money when you use an inexpensive mono like Berkley Big Game.

Buzz Bait Swim
Ya - the SLX 7.2 maxes out at 28IPT...not a speed I'd use for buzzbaits.
