  1. What model was it? I've got a Fuego CT-H that's 3 years old and hasn't seen anything but yearly maintenance...still works like a champ.
  2. Ya - but it's a system thing...they'd have to delete his record entirely, wiping out his other tournaments this year, to get him off BassTrack. You'll see nothing but 'zeros' for him this round.
  3. GYCB Senko or Zoom Trick Worm: T-Rig or Wacky Zoom Super Fluke: Owner Beast Twistlock hook
  4. Ya, I remember the no-clip reels...still have one but it's sitting on the display shelf. If the reel is on the rod, I just use these. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Rapid_Fishing_Solutions_Line_Clips/descpage-RAPIDLIN.html Off the rod - I deal with the clips or use the rubber-band method if the clip gives me too much of a problem
  5. Good time for me to do the next mod on the canoe then - in the relatively cool garage.
  6. How do you decide which one to use - I have issues making that decision with only 12 rigs. d**n, Andy...you're making me jealous again.
  7. Website has only been up for a month according to CuteStat - I'd be VERY wary.
  8. Seth might just be trying to psych the other guys out...he does that occasionally. Wouldn't matter - I swore I'd have him in my lineup every tourney this year...I wasn't going to back out unless he couldn't/wouldn't make it. GO LLAMA!!
  9. 12# is plenty for up here...dunno about down there with you 'good ol' boys'.
  10. You've heard of Mead...right? Add fruit and/or spices to it during fermentation and you got melomel.
  11. Not much better A good brew is an Irish Stout - Murphy's or Guinness.
  12. Depends on the drink - a Raspberry Melomel: Way underrated Corona beer? (I say way over-rated)
  13. When it comes to electrical components for the canoe - other than wire...which I get marine-grade from West Marine - I get everything from Digikey or Jameco.
  14. Minnesota, long as you're under 16 years old, you can have bass, sunnies, crappies, bullheads and/or yellow perch in an aquarium...long as they're 10" or shorter. https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/2019/cite/97C.205
  15. Probably because he's monetized his YouTube - they have ads, and those who opt in get a percentage of the ad revenue based on views...so his YouTube is a money-maker. Unless you're a KVD, Martins, Evers, etc...you don't make all THAT much being a pro. Public info shows that James has made an average of 70k a year over his 14 year career. Raising a family plus all the travel means it's middle-class...so you make more where you can.
  16. Ya - it's not a 9-5 job with weekends off. Tournament weeks - you're probably talking 6-7 days straight of 10-12 hour days. Travel Meet-n-greets with fans, sponsors, newsies Practice days Pre-tournament kick-off events Post-tournament events. If you got tournaments 2 weeks in a row (like BASS has right now), you're talking 13-15 days straight without any time off if you make the cuts...only the guys who are below the lines get days off.
  17. Welcome, Russell - you'll find lots of people here in the same situation...make yourself at home. @Glenn supplies the drinks.
  18. I always looked forward to what James would post here and didn't worry about time frame as I knew his schedule was hectic during tournament season...to see some members here diss him because of that just makes me wonder.
  19. With my time on the water being precious - I'll wave the white flag and switch rigs. Nice thing is - only rig I don't have a backup for is the H/F...though for a couple it's a switch from BC to Spinning.
  20. I gotta bow-out...on pain meds and antibiotics for a tooth infection and I'm loopy. Well, more than I normally am...
  21. For finesse fishing - that's right in the ball-park...should have no issues with it. I run 10# braid to 6# FC leader - but some run 20# braid to 10# FC for the same technique...you're right in the center.
  22. Properly cared for - both should last quite a while. I've got: A 40+ year old Pflueger 640 UL Spinning reel - I've replaced the bail-spring once in that time A 40+ year old Cardinal 562 Med Spinning reel - all original parts A near 40 year old Abu Ambassadeur 500R LP Baitcasting reel - replaced one push-on retainer All are still in 9/10 mechanical condition - I just don't use them because I have newer gear...but all are perfectly usable.
  23. Omnia has 20% off all Jackhammers - limited time - no code needed.
  24. Well ya - they're close cousins to the Carp...that should tell you something.
