  1. Been there, but the other direction. Sent Yule cards to my parents (Golden Valley, MN - about 12 miles) and the mother-in-law (Boca Raton, FL - about 1700 miles). In picked up the same day from my mailbox. MIL's card arrived in 3 days Parent's card took 2 weeks.
  2. For replacements on my lures, if it's not Owner ST-36 or ST-41, it's VMC 8540 Stick with the Owner and VMC
  3. Easy fix - VMC Spinshot Neko hook
  4. Yep - tipped positions have a Federal minimum wage of $2.13 as of 1 July 2021 Some states have higher than that, but not all. https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/state/minimum-wage/tipped
  5. Hold onto your hats people. IT'S BACK!!! TW is saying in stock New Year's Eve. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Uncle_Josh_Pork_Frog/descpage-UJPF.html
  6. Just be sure you don't work for a place that does tip-pooling - cause your excellent work won't give you any more than the sluffer. MN forbids tip-pooling...more states should do this.
  7. Two from Z-Man caught my eye Football Ned Jig and a new craw - looks like they got production rights to the Rage style

NDYakAngler actually tested it...and caught something with it.

Either - rig the lizards on a T-Rig or C-Rig like you would a worm and fish it normally. I've also put them on drop-shots using an off-set hook texposed.
  10. My rigs Fury 705CB is for most treble lures - crankbaits, medium size topwaters (spooks, WP-75 to 110), etc Fury 704 is for single-hook applications - chatter, spinner, jigs, t-rigs. Fury 703 is for jerkbaits, lipless, smaller topwaters (Zara Puppy, WP-60), etc If it had to be down to two - I'd put all the 703 lures on the 705CB.
  11. Largemouths are referred to as 'green bass' because of the base color Smallmouths are 'brown bass' for the same reason.
  12. ^ This. If you're going to put ice in the live-well, use pure bottled water to make the ice with. Local grocery store should have a station where you can fill bottles with purified water...that's all I use in the coffee-maker - well worth the $0.39/gallon.
  13. They couldn't weight/toss in live-well the perch and pike, but I'll guarantee that most, if not all, the pros fishing caught at least a few. Can't help it since pike and larger perch attack the same types of lures as bass. I caught this one on a spinnerbait when trying for LMBs
  14. If you're fishing anywhere near where the two major tournaments were held...the bass might be spooked right now MLF had a tournament June 25-30 out of Massena BASS had a tournament July 15-18 out of Waddington So there was a lot of high-powered boats zooming around and LOTS of fish being caught those two weeks...with the BASS tournament just ending this past Sunday.
  15. Ya - the PDF available online is much more detailed an informative than what's supplied in the box...same with my 7CV I download manuals for everything and keep them on my phone, tablet and computer for instant access.
  16. I just take a pliers to them to crimp them down a bit more for light lines...6# InvizX is also a bit thin for them straight out of the package.
  17. Omnia's at it again - limited time, only what they have in stock - all GYCB Senkos 20% off
  18. Sorry - 'long pig' is not something I'd want in my stew.
  19. Unless you're doing a stew - except for the back-strap, I cubed deer meat and used it as replacement for lamb in Irish Stew...always do stew in a crock-pot.
  20. Ya - only reason I'd use a 30# leader is if I was targeting the northern or bowfin we have up here...bass, heaviest leader I use is 15#.
  21. I had one of those...lost it somehow during a re-org
  22. First one is still in use, second one I had but I don't think they make anymore Jitterbug Helldiver
  23. Don't feel too bad - I occasionally flip my Striker 7CV over to Flasher just for a look-see myself. And I started using flashers back in the 70s...
  24. Or tablet - I have Navionics on my Galaxy 8"...$20 a year and it includes various overlays like bottom hardness.
  25. I have no issues using a F for Neds - I think a XF would be a little too fast of an action for the single hook. Actually, I don't own any XF rods - F and MF is all I have.
